I have read a number of other reviews about this Hotel / B&B, some a little scathing for no reason. So firstly Id like to comment on them as a very regular traveller. There is clearly a table full of tea bags (about 12 types), Coffees, fresh coffee as you walk in - so why would you think your drinks preference...

We currently stayed in the craigside hotel for a weekend break. What can I say warm comforting welcome with a friendly greeting offered to take suitcase to room. Rooms modern and clean, stayed in many hotels this meets the needs for your stay. Breakfast spot on,2 minute walk to the sea front/amenities. Everything is exactly on the money for the price....

Run by a family this is a lovely hotel just a stones throw from the beach. Stayed here as we had a wedding reception at the local golf course, also not a long walk away. The bar is nicely done out and there is also a games room with free pool table. The beds were comfortable, only downside was the...

I feel that some of the reviews that i have recently seen do not do this place justice. Kat and Adam are very friendly people and couldn't do more for us as guests. Upon arriving there wasn't the usual chore of having to find the paperwork from the bottom of your bag etc as they appeared to have been expecting...

My hubby and myself booked in here for 1 night. I had read quite good reviews and understand the hotel is being refurbished, after recently being taken over. The hotel is clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast good, although nothing special. Unfortunately that's all the good bits I can say. When we arrived we initially struggled to park. I had...

I stayed there with my girlfriend and friends for a wedding at the nearby golf club and found the staff very friendly and the rooms very comfortable. I paid £68 for a king size ensuite room which I thought was a reasonable price. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the size of the room was...

My granddaughter Laura stayed here week beginning 15th to 19th August 2016. There were a few problems at first with the shower not working properly. Myself and partner were staying on the south side, but my daughter stayed across the road from Lauras. Kim and Billy at the Aldor said Laura could use their shower in my daughters ensuite. On...

I would recommend the Craigside Hotel to anyone. Ran by friendly people who are always willing to help. The Hotel is close to the beach, shops and to the station. Breakfast is a delightful meal with an abundance of choice as to what to eat. I shall certainly be visiting them again next year.

Stayed in Summer 2015. Well located within walking distance of the train station. A relatively short walk to the sea front (a few minutes). Tiny room with dirty, old bedding which looks to have been replaced now. Very hot in the room. Television was a joke. Broken old 13-inch analog TV. Difficult to walk upstairs with luggage. When I needed...

Thank you for your review. It would appear that you stayed last year prior to our ownership. We are undergoing updating and modernising the guesthouse and a number of improvements have already been made including new bedding throughout and TVs in the rooms.

Lovely place to stay and in an ideal location. Quiet area but not far away from all shops and attractions. Lovely friendly couple that run it and they are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superb. Rooms are in need of a bit of a refurbishment but they are in the process of doing this. Having said that the rooms...
