Were at a family celebration but decided to come a couple days earlier to take in Stamford and it's history. Nelio was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. We wanted skimmed milk and he was happy to nip out and buy some. Both days. The room was very clean and well supplied with enough space and enough storage. Full size wardrobe with hangers and iron and board provided. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Nelio.
We dined at this restaurant twice during our brief stay in Stamford after lock down ended. The dining experience was one of the best we have had in this country, the food and wine are simply excellent. What makes the restaurant though is the host, Nelio. Such a lovely man, very knowledgeable about his menu and his wine list. He can be rightly proud of the business he is running, I would highly recommend this place for a "taste of the Mediterranean" without leaving the country! Five Stars.
What a super stay… It was the owner that made it for us. From being greeted in the car park by the owner on arrival to being personally shown to our room through to a seamless checkout process the whole stay was excellent. We were made to feel welcome and the quirky layout of the hotel in the historic town of Stamford made us feel like we were in a history novel. I’d strongly recommend anyone to stay here, you can’t go wrong.
Nelio could not have been accommodating, I came to Stamford for a funeral for a dear friend, Nelio was waiting for me and showed me where to park.... the room was lovely, fridge had bottle of water, orange juice and a pint of milk, and I had a wonderful breakfast in the morning before I returned home... so pleased to have stayed here... do go and stay you will not be disappointed
Where to start service awful food awful price awful why this review here goes arrived at 7.45 for 8pm table got to finally sit at 8.55 after many complaints from other waiting guests who also complained. The menu was fixed but yet he didn't have certain items and yet only 6 tables all night go figure.starter arrived fresh from the microwave so hot hot it stuck to the plate.Tried for ages to get a drink with no luck the table opposite us piped up to the poor lad running ragged like a deer in headlights our table would like a drink some 40 minutes later a bottle arrived. Now to the main course I had the substitute lamb big mistake rubbery and so much fat and my fiancee had the stroginoff watery and zero taste we were supposed to have a sweet as a 3 course meal but after seeing the factory processed cheese in individual wraps gave a miss couldn't wait to get home and just right the whole evening off oh and price for this fiasco £91 for 2 people sorry for the long rant but my god avoid at all cost so you too don't have a bad evening.!!!!…
