For a Monday in February this hotel was doing a good lunch trade. Why? Because it is extremely good food beautifully cooked and presented and if you eat from the lunch menu it is extremely good value. Great location, competant and smiley staff and elegant surroundings. Need to back for dinner now!

My husband and I purchased the spa session and lunch via Groupon. We loved the massage treatment, very professional. The lunch was also excellent and the staff attentive. However, the hour spa experience was somewhat let down by the fact that there was no hot water which, alongside the hydrotherapy pool also being out of order, meant this experience was...

I purchased an afternoon tea voucher as a gift for my husband. On arrival the hotel is set in lovely grounds and is decorated beautifully. We were shown into a delightful room which I assume was a lounge. It was very peaceful and we had a table right next to the window. Shortly after a waiter told us that a...

Treated my boyfriend to a spa stay for his birthday. The service was great all the staff very helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious and I'm a vegetarian and the veggie option was lovely! The spa is really nice and not overly busy so you don't feel like you have to rush. Breakfast lovely too and great coffee! Really...

Stayed here with friends for a Birthday which coincided with their Eden offer at £189 DB&B + winter pimms. Excellent value particularly when we discovered the high quality of the rooms/service/cuisine/location etc. The menu de jour with its canapés and amuse bouche certainly justified its 3 rosettes and was close to a Michelin star. Portion sizes were just adequate, but...

So my partner was booked a super of Afternoon Tea with Champagne at the Mount Somerset Hotel near Taunton as a birthday present. This was to include sandwiches, cakes, scones with jam and cream and the special treat of champagne. The setting is beautiful, the inside just as nice - but alas the poor service did not live up to...

Large traditional Hotel set in delightful grounds just outside Taunton. Friendly and helpful staff, but a bit dated which obviously some people enjoy. The rooms were bright and of a comfortable size with plenty of amenities. The Spa is a big attraction here.

A really lovely location and a great set of staff, who were attentive but thinly spread at times, meaning long waits at times for food / drink service. Food was lovely however. Bar prices perhaps pretty steep at nearly £10 for a double G&T. Our room was great - Donyatt Suite. Fabulous shower too. All very clean. Bed was super...

Stayed one night on business and this is a great place for everyone. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming with customer service their mantra. From booking in to eating in the restaurant the staff are warm, entertaining and could do more more to cater for our party of four. The food was excellent! The hotel room was beautiful! Warm...
