Very polite &helpful staff, good food & accommodation, the one fault we had was that people above are room making a terrible noise until 2.30am.On complaining both myself & my brother in law were reimebursed a nights payment for both are rooms, plus air/ con would make it far more pleasant stay

If you're staying in Wakefield and you don't want to spend a fortune for your accommodation, it might be worth looking at the Premier Inn website. My husband and I were visiting friends and stayed two nights at Wakefield South-M1, Jct39 Premier Inn. Although there was some traffic noise from the M1 and a busy A road, the double glazing... Stayed here overnight on the way home from Scotland. I was impressed by this Premier Inn; it looks pretty new and is very clean and well-maintained. From the layout of the room and bathroom (in particular those unique toilet doors) I would say that this hotel used to belong to Holiday Inn Express, so there are no baths in the... More

Clean and well located but a pain to find - there are two Premier Inn's on the same road ! Why cant this be highlighted on the booking confirmation ? Room was clean and suitably equipped and the full English breakfast was generous and good quality. It was individually cooked rather than a buffet. The nearby pub provided good quality... More

Clean basic room comfortable bed, good small shower, only gripe about that was having a shower curtain! I particularly liked the fan and sheet provided in case of quilt being too hot. Very good breakfast. Could hear hum of traffic from our room but not a problem, it's on a convenient busy road.

Stayed two nights while attending a wedding nearby. Some very friendly and helpful reception staff helped me sort out transport to the wedding. I was also really pleased with the noise level at the hotel. Being so close to the M1, I wasn't sure what to expect regarding outside noise. Not the hotel's problem, but definitely not an issue. 4/5... More

Stayed here as it was so convenient for a visit to the National Mining Museum (20 minutes away) and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (10 minutes away) With Premier Inn you know what you are getting and this was no exception. Comfy beds and great shower (no baths at this particular one). We paid £35 for a family room which is... More

Well-located, quiet and next to a good dining pub with above average menu with good choice. Parking is easy. Room is comfortable with a Hypnos bed, decent shower (no baths at this Premier Inn) and all very clean/well-maintained. Staff are always friendly and helpful - have stayed several times as a great location for Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the Hepworth... More
