Breakfast lots of choice, 3types of muesli and the best porridge I’ve ever had.
The views, the location, the rooms and the food were all excellent and the welcome from the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome .... we will return for more of their excellent hospitality - thank you David and Heather.

A car is a must as we are in a rural area but if you are driving 1/2 an hour and you can be in the moors in one direction or the dales in the other, Durham is 1/2 an hour away, York 1 hour and the market towns of Northallerton, Yarm, Richmond, Bedale, Barnard Castle etc etc all 1/4 to 1/2 an hour drive. Raby Castle, Beamish Museum, Bowes Museum, captain cook museum, railway museum etc all within an easy drive
