Went again today and had a fabulous Sunday lunch - I had smoked mackerel pate which was the best I have ever tasted and my fiancé had prawn cocktail which looked delicious. I had roast beef and he had roast lamb, both served with crispy roast potatoes, fresh veg, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire plus Tracey offered us extra gravy without... More

I've just had lunch at this fabulous pub and was impressed on every level. You walk in the door and are greeted as a friend. Its obvious they really care about their customers. The landlord and landlady know their customers by name. And the food is delicious. We had roast turkey and it was succulent. You get a decent amount... More

We were in Poole for a long weekend and came across a sign pointing the way to the foundry pub, having dragged the other half around the Shops, thought he needed a pint ! As soon as we entered the pub we were made welcome and the barman, whose name I didn't get, was very chatty and engaging. He told... More

The food is lovely here ! Typical local but doesn't lack in atmosphere! Never fails with food and the staff are always super friendly. The Sunday dinner is only until 2 but easy enough to book and it's a bargain ! Cheaper but lots better than competitors😚 give it a go...

Had a family get together of 11, and the food was excellent and terrific value. Thanks to the publicans, Moz and Tracey, who made us feel so welcome. We only wished we lived in this area so we could visit there more regularly.

Had Sunday lunch here and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. The food was freshly cooked and served HOT , and good size portions. Waited about 20minutes for the food to arrive witch I think is good for freshly cooked. Would recommend to anyone, the whole experience was a pleasure.

Fabulously welcoming 'local'. Friendly and attentive staff without being too in your face. Food served quickly. BLT sandwich and Brie and cranberry baguette stunning. Chips slightly let it down, but would still have absolutely no hesitation to come here again. The sort of place where you can have a nice meal and relax over a few drinks after. A good... More

Pub is situated in the middle of a beautiful sea town yet has a wonderful "local pub" atmosphere. The landlord, landlady and whole team are very welcoming. The regulars are extremely friendly. The food is traditional, cooked from scratch with fresh local produce and I would highly recommend Sunday lunch. The pub offers lots of entertainment : local bands, karaoke,... More
