The bartender made it all. Best bartender around. Lively and energetic and awesome. 10/10 would visit again just to see him. However if your out clubbing he may bunk in your taxi but will pay more than half for the fare. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ....

Came here as this pub is in the beer bible (Good Beer Guide - for those who don't know about real ale!!) and try a few real ales. There were only 3 real ales on tap so we stayed for a few drinks. The pub is across the road from the rail station and also is accessible by bus. Could...

I recently booked this venue for a birthday party on recommendation of a friend. I'd never been in the pub so had no idea what to expect. I had rang the pub to book the separate 'conference room' for the party & each time I spoke to the owners they were welcoming, friendly & very helpful. On the day of...

I booked for one night because of in foreseen circumstances and was welcomed by the family who run it. The first night I stayed (Friday) was open mic night and it was a very good night, so I booked for a second night as a live band was performing.. I was glad I did the band was amazing the people...

I have stayed in plenty of budget hotels in the past and all have at least been clean, smelt fresh and welcoming. As we needed to catch the ferry early in the morning we thought being closer to the port would be beneficial. There was nobody around to assist us apart from the barman, whom, in his defence, was left...

Just to update my previous review entitled "Contractors Only". The hotel has been taken over by a new couple and the improvements are obvious. Where before cleaning was not a high priority, it is now. Where before things were tatty they are now tidied up. Lots of minor improvements make all the difference, if this transformation continues it will be...

To be honest you can't complain. It's cheap! Has a bar downstairs with some great ales on tap, and a few fast food joints within a stones throw. Was there 3 days, and Lidel's is close so go grab a bite to eat and a bottle of wine and shut the door. Wallpaper needs attention. Stayed mid week and no...

Used this place on a few occasions as a contractor, and I think the above title best describes it. Do not expect luxury, the rooms would all benefit from some money spending on them. Sky boxes they have, but no sky channels, just the basic from the box. Rooms can be very cold in Winter, and traffic noise is in...

Found hotel on late rooms as we wanted a night away and we have a little dog so out options are limited. I read the reviews and considering the hotel room was quite cheaply priced I wasn't expecting too much. When we arrived though the room was massive compared to my expectations and it had a huge bathroom attached to...

On the plus side, my room was enormous for one person and very comfortable and there was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. It could have done with more effective heating though. The welcome was rather minimal and traffic noise on the busy main road outside made for early waking in the morning.
