Travelling for work and the mariners guesthouse was recommended by a colleague who stayed recently. Its very clean, quiet and comfortable with a great brekkie, so much better than staying in another faceless hotel. Rooms are well equipped and spacious. Yvonne is a delightful host, very warm and friendly and made sure we were well fed before going to work...

Only stayed for one night en route to the ferry for a cycling trip. Communication with Yvonne was excellent and we had a warm welcome on our arrival. Our room was immaculate, with everything we needed. We had to leave early, so didn't get to sample the delicious-sounding breakfast, but Yvonne kindly prepared a 'packed breakfast' for us. We were...

"i stayed at all the mariners for 7 weeks solid" and it felt as though I was comfortable as my own home. The room was cleaned to a very high standard on a daily basis with towel change also if needed. Yvonne was one of the most genuine and kind land lady's I could possibly ask for and she really...

Only stayed one night after being let down by another hotel. Arriving at 9.00pm we accepted her only available room which was the attic. Despite Yvonne's initial concern, we wrinklies, managed the stairs very well. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast cooked and served by Yvonne in the pretty dining room. Her advice for a good place...

A nice welcome from Yvonne who runs the Mariners. Nice and bright interior all very clean. My attic room was cosy to say the least but spotlessly clean. Shower was a "little bit different" with a sloping ceiling (as we're in the roof don't forget!) Yvonne has excellent knowledge of local places to eat and drink and provides a carefully...

I had a one night stay at The Mariners with my family and booked three rooms. Even though we only stayed one night I would have been just as satisfied if I had stayed longer - I will definitely go back to this B&B if I need and would confidently recommend it to others. All the rooms and guest spaces...
