We stayed here on Saturday night for our 20th wedding anniversary. We opted for some extras, like a harbour view room and champagne. From the moment we arrived, when the porter met us in the car park and took charge of our luggage and car, we were welcomed. the service was great throughout our stay. 5 mins after we arrived...

Weekend break with 20 friends, The salt house proved to be a very busy but well managed Hotel, staff were outstanding, putting up with our needs and requests with humour and effective practice. It's not budget but neither that expensive especially the drinks and food. Rooms are smart but un fussy some have nice harbour views. Would go again.

We have just returned from Ipswich having stayed at the Salthouse for the second time, the first being about seven years ago. It's a lovely hotel which has, in some ways, upped its game since we last stayed, in others it's not as good as it was. Positives first: it's fantastic to be met by a friendly and charming porter...

Dear Welha Thank you for highlighting your Afternoon Tea experience with us. Please accept my sincere apologies, I'm not sure what has happened here. It appears there must have been some miscommunication as tea/coffee is most certainly included in our Afternoon Tea prices. Please could you contact our General Manager, Diogo Abreu via Diogo@salthouseharbour.co.uk so that we can rectify this...

The perfect location for a stunning hotel. The staff could not be faulted throughout the entire stay, their attention to detail was outstanding. The rooms were first class and ours overlooked the marina. Both dinner and breakfast could not be improved as were excellent in every way.

We stayed for two nights over a weekend, so the hotel was full and the staff were clearly very busy but we experienced excellent service. From the moment we pulled up in the car park (we were on a motorbike having travelled in hot sticky weather so we must have looked a state when we got there!) the staff couldn't...

Stunning hotel and the rooms are gorgeous. When you walk in the staff can't do enough for you! It's a big hotel but doesn't feel corporate and is just lovely! The downside is there isn't a huge amount of parking so you have to park where you can and leave the concierge with your keys so they can move it....

We stayed here for one night midweek. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The lift was broken so the porter insisted on bringing our suitcase up. Parking right outside, amazing location close to the centre and other restaurants with lovely views out onto the harbour from our room. Comfortable bed, nicely decorated nice bathroom. Great breakfast, quite a lot...

Fantastic pretty much all round. Food good but not amazing. No chicken main course. Great location. Attentive staff. Few negatives - no extractor fan in bathroom. Can be noisy at night if u have a harbour view. No air con.

This artfully designed boutique Hotel and Restaurant in Suffolk reflects luxury and dazzles in the waterfront of Ipswich's vibrant Harbour quayside at night. The Salthouse Harbour Hotel goes beyond what you expect and exudes its 4 star status in every curious corner, eccentric sofa and unstuffy cushion. The sea-salted brickwork exterior has been restored & rejuvenated into a ship shape contemporary warehouse of rich modern interiors and rooms adorned with vintage furniture, sculptures and eclectic art. Within its comfy chic decor, although the mood is friendly and relaxed, the staff are professionally attentive to your every need.
