Peter and Linda are very welcoming hosts - super friendly , you feel valued when you deal with them .
The room I stayed in was a single - bright and airy with a large window . Spotlessly clean . Had everything I needed including some extras you don’t always get Like a hair drier , suitcase stand , extra blanket etc
The breakfasts were good , all amenities and common areas were very very clean .

Hosts were approachable and imparted vital local knowledge such as where the best take away is etc

Thoroughly recommend this place and I will definitely consider staying there again if I return to the area .
Good value for money too . You won’t find many places so good for the small amount they charge !

Spent 3 nights here with our 2 little fuzz balls and was very happy with our stay.

Dakota and Luna can at times be stereotypical Yorkshire Terriers and love a good bark every now and then, the higher the pitch the better. Being in a hotel room where you could occasionally hear people walking past your door or moving around upstairs, this happened a few times, yet when we apologised to the owners they were so understanding and allayed all of our fears.

Breakfast is gorgeous - if you stay here, I can’t recommend the Welsh Eggs Benedict enough, it was absolutely amazing.

The Owners are so friendly and welcoming, you will probably meet Badger their dog, and that is a good thing as he is such a gorgeous dog.

Location is perfect, you’re far enough away from the seafront/shops that you don’t get bothered by the noise, but you’re close enough that you can get there within a 5 minute walk.

A really good nights sleep with the bed being just right in terms of not too hard that you get pains from sleeping on it, but not too soft that you sink straight in when you lie down.

The only slight criticism is the size of the toilet/shower cubicle - it was a tight squeeze, but having said that I’m not the smallest of people so that probably played a factor into it.

Absolutely loved our 3 day stay here. Peter and Linda are the perfect hosts and made us feel extremely welcome.
Breakfast was wonderful and next time we stay we will definitely be tasting some of Peters culinary delights.
This guest house is situated in an excellent spot within a short walking distance to the beaches and orme and a great base for travelling to other lovely parts of north wales. Thank you both

So i dont like leaving negative reviews ,but on arrival to this b&b we booked a double and a twin room so not pleased when we were given two twin rooms and blattantly saying we were wrong even though we had email proof ??? No real apology and sort of laughed it off ,peter did offer to change one room to a double for the next day but we chose to stick with it (mistakes happen ) we put our kids in the top room and we had one on a lower floor , the room we had was tiny no seating as no room to put any, the bathroom was shocking way to small ,shower i couldn't fit in and had to have door open to sit on toilet (I am 6'2) but still . Room was clean and beds comfortable if a little small for me . Nobody's fault but person above us was so noisy we had very broken sleep but that can happen anywhere. Room was very dated and view was appalling from this room (4)
Kids room was better ,bigger in size and a better view ,(we originally did not have this room ourselves as it was not able to be a double ) ,
Again room was clean and beds comfortable.,bathroom again small but better than ours at least their sink was in the bathroom not in the bedroom like ours . Breakfast was good and cant complain really we have had better but it was adequate, on leaving after our stay we went to pay and was told the bill was £80 more than when booked ,again made to prove we were right by providing email proof and again no real apology just laughed off . Overall not our best stay , having been honest in my review i will say our hosts were friendly and hard working i just feel some areas are lacking with room /bathroom sizes being the major issue i dont feel it was value for money .

Hi Dave and thank you for your wonderful reviews on Google, TripAdvisor and booking.com. You are certainly a very thorough man!! I actually enjoyed you all staying with us and had fun with your kids and have no idea why you decided to go against the huge majority of enjoying your stay with us. Indeed, you both (parents) told me how much you enjoyed my food and our staff and gave us top marks on that. We had to have HUGE building works to the guest house due to a blown girder and interior works afterwards including full decorating, carpets, wallpaper and painting and have had 5 out of five stars from everyone else all year. I had a really good time with your two children and they did with me. .I really do not know why you have considered a full social media attack on our guest house but I guess not everyone is like me and just wants to enjoy themselves? Anyway, it was lovely to meet your children. Lots of love, Peter xx

Well I was shocked when I was shown into room five. First you had no view out of the window it was covered with a material which blocked the view. When opening window I was shocked to seesee a working yard not a pretty
sight.

The whole room had not been cleaned properly. Furniture not moved dog biscuits under the one chair and in

corners
Skirting boards and window sills dusty.
The curtains were very difficult to pull across to close n open.

My only cupboard/ cabinet actually was broken and the draw I assume was once there was broken off and the
chip wood visable.

The shower had black scum on the base in the corners and on the outside tray. The shower head would not stay
up properly. infact the shower room was more like a cupboard and the mirror light did not work.
The sink in the bedroom the plug was broken.

The room had little space and I was continuously knocking my legs on the bed due to lack of space.

When I booked the room I expected at least to pay 70.00 a night. I was shocked that a single semi disabled

lady had to sleep in such a room.

The guest dining room was well fitted and the breakfast was very good. But

the guest lounge had tables now in I assume due to covid

The bed linen was cleaned and washed but not of superior quality. Infact I
was concerned to sleep under the duvet it was quiet old so I went and purchased a new one from asda.

You will ask why did I not complain.

I was tired and this two day break was to get over the death of my husband and my cancer operation. This was my first break alone sincevhis death. Also the resort had very
little left for a dog friendly hotel so I think my only option would be to come back home. so I made the best I could fr the two nights.

I assume the other rooms in this hotel were good as the hotel was busy.

In the end they only charged me forty pound a night had they told me it was an inferior room I would not have booked. So don't go to room five. It was a very unhappy stay.

Hmm. I think that the only way to respond to this is that everyone is charged exactly the same. £32 pppn including my fabulous breakfasts. Optional evening meals are £15 for 2 courses and £17.50 for 3 courses. They are of a quality that I am extremely happy with and confident of serving to any guests who would like to eat here. I loved my 4 night stay here, was a last minute thing . but made a good choice had a great week. had room 2 which is not en-suite -but you have you own lockable bathroom across the landing. , which was as big as the bedroom , you just need to organise your self for shower etc. each time . Everything worked had no complaints
had great Food and Hosts, who even went the extra mile making those Solo guests
feel at home in the dining room , within Covid rules , so you were not sat alone with no one to talk to. the Lounge currently is not in use., being used as extra dining space. Great hotel if you have dogs . did make a talking point at meal times.
and if sitting out side in the Garden

How lucky we were to find the Ashdale , we decided last minute to extend our stay and moved to the Ashdale from another guest house. I’m so glad we did , Peter & Linda are friendly , welcoming & very professional . Our spacious room was at the front clean airy with a very comfortable large bed and good storage . The breakfast menu is excellent with good choices and catering for all different dietary needs. Also Peter does the evening meal if requested which I have heard is amazingly good , and better than some restaurants. The Ashdale is near to good amenities and the beautiful west shore an excellent location for exploring all Llandudno has to offer . Very dog friendly which is an added bonus . We arrived as strangers & made so many friends . Peter & Linda ( although ver busy ) took time in the evening to sit in the garden with guests and chat they were genuinely interested in getting to know us which I loved .. unfortunately when we decided to extend again ( simply because we were having the best time there ) they didn’t have an available room . But we will return as soon as we’re able . I cannot recommend the Ashdale highly enough

Had a lovely Easter weekend away here.
We have stayed here a few times now and cannot fault a thing.

Rooms and communal areas are really clean, tidy and have everything you need.

I can highly recommend the evening meals and the breakfast. (I never have a full breakfast anywhere else apart from here - the food is that good)

The owners Peter and Linda are brilliant and always up for a laugh.

Another reason why we always keep coming back is because they are VERY VERY dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in the dining room which is brilliant - you have no worries about where to leave your dog and if they are ok at meal times. Peter even cooks them their very own sausage.

Thank you again Peter and Linda and see you again soon.

It was fabulous to see you again Catty, after so long having to be closed. Lovely to have a giggle with new and existing guests. I shall give a heads up to Linda and her housekeepers. They put a constant effort in to make sure that the guest house is spotless. And of course, thank you for enjoying my food :-) Best regards Peter

Can u take dogs on beach in Llandudno
Answer from PeTeR_Rourke
Llandudno, United Kingdom27 contributions5 helpful votes
Sorry Jackie, only just seen your question!! Yes, on the West Shore you can walk all the way to Conwy with your doggy off lead (I take mine down there every day after breakfasts, walking down to Deganwy to Sue's Beach Hut for a cuppa and natter with the locals and tourists). During May to September, there is a very small area of beach which is just for families or people who aren't fond of dogs, which is fair enough. North Shore (where the promenade is) is mainly dogs on leads. A nice walk for sure, but the West Shore is great for doggy play times with each other :-)
