Dirty carpet / wallpaper coming off walls / fixtures and fittings rusty / needs a complete overhaul, unless we got the worst room in the hotel. 3rd floor - no lift, no window= instead a fire exit door with security frosted glass. No parking despite that fact that booking.com advertise free parking. Complained and got a discount of 9% !!!!!...

We stayed at The Montclair and Cumberland for two nights. We had room 11 which had a huge four-poster, even had a foot stool under the bed to help shorter people get on. The room and bathroom were spotless and we had a great view of the bay. Excellent tea and coffee making facilities and a large TV. The breakfast...

We looked at a few hotels for this trip to Llandudno and picked the Cumberland because of its amazing location and colourful rooms. The location on North Parade is ideal but the room we were given was a small drab box room at the back of the hotel. Not the colourful light airy room we were expecting for £84 but...

Stayed in a twin room while working in Llandudno in late March. Had real trouble finding somewhere and so glad we chanced upon this place. Helpful from the moment we walked through the door, the beds were comfortable, the shower and they have a bar. The real gem though was breakfast a proper full English that kept two working lads...

We're shown to our room after which the staff were no where to be seen , our rooms window was painted shut and as such here was no fresh air in the room , bed was also very hard and unusable , when we questioned the owners in the morning he passed the blame onto us and seemed genuinely disinterested....

Nice hotel, bigger than i had expected before travelling. Staff were friendly and soon sorted us out on arrival. We managed to park at the rear of the hotel, but parking is very limited (same for all the hotels from the layout i saw) Hotel itself has a quaint homely feel, with a nice mixture of modern and period decor....

We arrived at 4pm to find all available parking had been used but were advised we can park anywhere else until 10am for free, slightly annoying since paid a premium rate for our room and the hotel was not at full capacity. Location of hotel is great with views of bay. Our family room was very clean with everything you...

This was a departure for us as we have generally stayed in chain inns and hotels for short breaks with the children but as a couple without the teenagers this time, we opted for an independent for a change. This is a quirky hotel which was previously two but knocked through. We stayed in the Montclare half and had room...

This is our third New Year at the Montclare & Cumberland - and we are never disappointed. Ian, Tess and their staff always make us feel very welcome - the rooms are spotless and the beds are so comfortable - breakfast is superb! Tess laid on her usual New Year's Eve buffet which we enjoyed in Ian's bar spending a...
