Insanely noisy plumbing, creaking floorboards loud enough to wake you, but the staff don't care if you are deprived of sleep, so no chance of changing rooms even when they have them available. Don't stay there unless you are at least partially deaf.
This place was wonderful. We got there a little late so reception was closed. The bartender James met us to show us our room. There was a confusion on it but we got there eventually and it was huge. He even tried to see about getting us an upgrade. He was such a sweet young man! The location was perfect. We enjoyed walking along the promenade and relaxing. We were extremely tired from our flight and then driving but this place really helped us unwind. Then in reception they had so many beautiful gifts, we didn't need to go any where else to shop. Breakfast was amazing and Robert was so much fun! I would recommend this place to everyone!
This is an excellent hotel in our opinion. We spent two nights there and really, the only thing we could pick fault with was some of the door hinges need a drop of oil! Useful things to note: There is a lift but be careful as for some of the rooms you exit the lift and have to go down six stairs and up six stairs! There’s a car park at the back with around 17 spaces. Parking outside the front is plentiful and charges apply between 10am and 4pm, otherwise free. Breakfast is in two sittings, 7.45 – 8.45 and (I think) 8.45 – 9.45, this may have been 9.00 – 10.00, we used the earlier one which was fairly quiet. Breakfast is cooked fresh and was one of the best ever, very tasty and hot. Evening meals had to be booked before 3.30pm and were served from 5.30-6.30pm, too early for us so we didn’t try them. There’s a small bar, open from 5.30 – 11.30 and drinks can be taken to your room or to the lounge. There are two lounges but one was closed, or there are tables and chairs in the bar area. Outside at the front are tables and chairs, likewise outside the back which has a partly covered area (for smokers?) along with a water feature, very nice. If leaving the hotel on foot through the back, M&S and a whole load of other shops are about a two minute walk. Our room (11) was spacious with stunning views of the whole bay. The en-suite had an electric shower over a bath, all worked fine. The usual tea, coffee and hot choc in the room with biscuits. No noise from other rooms at all. Sleep to the sound of the waves. The whole place was immaculate and the staff very friendly (especially the very entertaining Rob from Glasgow!) and helpful.…
A very nice stay at the Winchmore Hotel, would definitely recommend. The room was clean and spacious the room was also serviced everyday by very polite cleaners. Upon checking in the receptionist was very helpful with any questions that I had
The Hotel is well located to the centre of LLandudno and has a great view over the bay. The rooms are tidy and clean. The staff are always pleasant . We are a group of 12 golfers so are well looked after, with a Breakfast that is substantial and sets us up for the day. we return to the Bar that is well stocked and reasonable. Our stay this year was really spot on and no-one in the party had any issues.
I booked a double room with Seaview for my dad birthday and we had a family room with Seaview and wow what a view it is amazing, I have nothing bad to say a lovely greeting when you get there, then the rooms are spotless, beds are comfy and the breakfast was lovely, all staff were friendly I would highly recommend and we will be visiting again In the future
AVOID AT ALL COST. This place is in need of a lot of love. We went to our tired and dated room only to find clothing from the previous guests (clearly not a thoroughly cleaned room). Requested an iron and iron board - there was no way that my clothes would have been placed on that dirty, heavily stained iron board. Finally, very poor customer service from the owner.
A friend and I spent one night at the Winchmore just for a bit of a girls getaway. We asked around had a look on Tripadvisor - of course! - and settled for the Winchmore Hotel. We were a bit anxious as my friend had recently spent a few nights with her family at another hotel on the prom and it was pretty dire and we really didn't want a repeat of that. No worries here! We arrived early but were given the key to our room straightaway by the friendly and helpful lady at the front desk. We were told there was parking and there were spaces left but because other guests hadn't parked particularly well they weren't usable, not the hotels fault of course. But no matter, we found parking nearby and we were able to move the car to the front of the hotel after 4pm as parking is free from then until 10am which was handy. We had paid for a twin seaview room and when I say a sea view room that's exactly what you get as you can see from the picture. It was stunning. The room itself was neat, tidy, nicely decorated and with plenty of storage space to unpack your clothes if you were planning to stay longer than us. It was spotlessly clean too and we found the beds really comfortable. The shower is nice and big and easily accessible but does run quite hot I found. Breakfast is included in the price and was really tasty. There is a buffet breakfast of cereals, toast, fruit etc which you can choose from and then they take your hot food order at the table. You can choose a full breakfast or lighter bites such as scrambled eggs on toast. The food really was very tasty and the setting is very clean, bright and modern. There is also an option to sit outside in a pretty patio/courtyard area. Overall it's a great little hotel and I am hoping to return soon with my daughter. Would highly recommend to anyone.…
We stayed here from Saturday afternoon until Monday. What a lovely welcome from the hotel when we arrived! Our room had a fantastic view and was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect and plenty of it with lots of choices to satisfy everyone. I must mention Rob, what a total star! Nothing was to much trouble and he went above and beyond to make the guests stay perfect. The hotel’s location is right on the promenade and we could lay in bed and watch, hear the sea. On Sunday evening we could even hear the brass band playing on the sea front, it was so quaint. I’d recommend staying here to anyone. We had a lovely time and most certainly will be back to visit this lovely seaside town.
