I have just celebrated my 70th birthday at the View hotel with 51 guests. I cannot thank Kendra and the team enough for giving us a fabulous weekend. The rooms provided for my guests were all lovely .. the sit down meal was beyond expectations .. great service by all the team. The buffet breakfast was great with so much choice. I would highly recommend the View hotel for a function and overnight stays.
we stayed for three nights for a wedding. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly, professional and very efficient. p=Pauline in the restaurant was brilliant. the wedding function was superb. the whole experience was marred by a parkng ticket on the last day. Tickets were displayed as requested. We were very disappointed this to the reception staff. The young man called the duty manager who was totally defensive and showed zero empathy. The repeated comment was "our staff are trained" and the hotel is nothing to do with the "eastsuffolk Council" . She d1d say she would speak with the staff member concerned but that is of no help to us as we wont know the outcome. T he hotel name is on parking tickets alongside East Sussex council! i am sure the staff are trained but heard nothing of how that is evaluated and monitored. Result is we have had to pay parking ticket as well as £2 daily parking charge…
A really good hotel with brilliant staff. We had a function on there on the Saturday night and the food was excellent. so was the breakfast. Great location too. definitely recommended for functions and a short break.
I attended the wedding of me best friend. All the arrangements were at the hotel. The service, decorations, food, wine and accommodation were excellent. I had a single room with an amazing sea view. Decor a little dated but all the amenities. Good Wi-Fi and TV. Tea and coffee in the room which is a bonus. Wonderful staff. Every department from front of house waiters and cleaners. Everyone was fabulous. It made my friends wedding fabulous Breakfast was very good. Everything was clean and Covid compliant Thoroughly recommend a stay to anyone
Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Would have given it five stars but for the fact that it was noisy at night. We could hear the disco from where we were sleeping - shame but I guess the wedding party enjoyed themselves which is nice. We also had noisy neighbours - nothing serious but they should have been mindful that it was late.
