Having previously stayed at hotels when visiting Eastbourne we thought we would try a B & B for a change. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was. It overlooked the sea and had a shared balcony and with nice weather it would have been a real treat. Everything was fresh and very clean. We had a bath... More

Thank you to Doreen & Mario for such a comfortable stay they were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect and our room was really bright, fresh and clean with a big balcony & lovely sea view. The breakfast was beautifully made so much so that I over indulged and was grateful for the long walk afterwards. I really... More

Recently spent 3 nights at The New England and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Wonderful friendly hosts that couldn't do enough. The room was spotlessly clean with lots of little extras. Amazing breakfast that included a delicious full English plus everything else you could possibly want. Great location, right on Eastbourne seafront. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely go... More

Warm and friendly welcome. The room was comfortable, clean and furnished in a tasteful coastal theme. Thoughtful additions to room - fresh milk, chocolates and biscuits. Breakfast was amazing - both hot and cold buffet with vegetarian and GF options. Doreen's fresh compote is delicious! Would recommend.

Recently spent 2 nights at The New England. The location is great, right on the Eastbourne seafront and handy to the attractions of East Sussex. The Inn is well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at The New England. Doreen and Mario could not have been more helpful - from accommodating our late check-in to providing maps and info on local walks - and the guesthouse itself is a treat. Clean and comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. The beds were comfy, the towels fluffy and the attention... More

From the outside this hotel looks younger than it is. Its restoration is more recent and the name seems out of place. We were expecting something colonial but were surprised to find the interior tastefully decorated with an English seaside theme. Light and airy, modern and fun. There are little bits of the past hidden around if you care to... More
