From the managers welcome to his goodbye, the staff at this hotel gave a full and great service. Comfort was 1st class. The hotel had several coach parties in and everyone I spoke to were delighted with all that was offered. The food was very good, with lots of choices. I cannot praise highly enough. I came home with every...

A group of ladies staying on a 60/70/80s & Motown weekend left utterly disappointed. The group was separated across different floors/wings with rooms in various states. My bedroom window was nailed closed with tissue paper stuff in the gaps. At dinner I was served uncooked fish and met with stony waitress service when I asked for another dish. Bingo left...

Have stayed here a few times now and consistently enjoy ourselves. The hotel has great sea views, lovely big rooms and they serve a great breakfast. It is slightly dated but in my opinion, it adds character to the place. Will be booking again soon!

Stayed here as part of a Bakers Dolphin short break. Hotel staff are excellent and could not have been more helpful. Restaurant is smart and clean and there is an excellent choice of menu. Tables are cleared promptly. Bedroom was a little tired and could do with a makeover but comfortable and clean. Comments heard about other rooms were favourable.

I wrote a scathing review some years ago but am happy to report that on a recent visit I was happy to find major improvements at this hotel. Staff were courteous and friendly, the food was pretty good and the ambience delightful. Well done - new management.

I visited this hotel last week with Alfa coaches. It was very good value for what I paid but an extreme shortage of staff. The food was ok but I didn't like the fixed dining times. 8am for breakfast and 6.30pm for dinner. Personally I would have preferred it to be more flexible. Say, 8am to 9.30am and 6.30 to...
