I stayed here for 4 nights as one of a coach party with Grand UK holidays. From the outside it is a substantial Victorian(?) style building right on the seafront road. Up the front steps and through the revolving doors (possibly original) into reception, the first thing I noticed was the unusual carpet which would seem to be specially made,...

My wife and me just came back from this lovely hotel where we spent the New Year's Eve. The hotel is a perfectly fine 3 stars hotel in a lovely location. What really makes this hotel superb is the staff. The service in the restaurant was excellent, what would you expect from a 5 star hotel. Everyone was very helpful...

My wife and I really enjoyed our Turkey and Tinsel break here at the Mansion Lions Hotel. We were very well looked after and very good food and attentive staff who supplied an excellent service. Rooms and public areas could do with some urgent updating, but considering the price we paid for our break, that is minor quibble. Entertainment every...

Room 107 had stained bed linen and the bathroom was covered in hairs. The standard of the service is very poor - the hotel is understaffed. The manager/owner is very arrogant and does not care about the customers. I was ignored when I checked out. Never again.

Just back from enjoyable 5 days on holiday. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, food plentiful and very good. Had single sea view room, rather small but adequate and clean. Public areas comfortable with beautiful ceilings as is usual in an old Victorian hotel. Some refurbishment needed which would really enhance this hotel's charm. Right on seafront and near to town...

Stayed overnight here on 20/11/2016 on Business. The room was great, and the staff were even better. They couldn't do enough for us from the moment we walked in. I have to mention 2 members in particular, Sandra on Reception and Martin, in the restaurant. They were both outstanding and a credit to the Hotel. The quality and quantity of...
