On the beach, you can hear the hum and roar of the crashing waves lull you to sleep. Perfect place for creative outflow. Go for a swim everyday in the lagoon when the tide is right. This is clean, comfortable, safe and has very friendly and helpful owners. The owners are very relaxed and easy going. Having just started up there's a fair growing curve. But it's perfect for those who need an affordable option this part of the island.

I had the chance to visit Last Dodo Hostel while backpacking through Asia and Africa with my friends James and Jeremy. I have to say that the time spent at the hostel was an amazing experience and within a backpackers budget. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect, very close to the sea. I would recommend it to any backpacker traveling in Mauritius as the best option around.

As a solo backpacker I was very pleased I found this place (as I think it is the first hostel on the island). It has a great setup with comfortable accommodations and incredible view. I was short for time so I had rented a car but was able to park it there and drive to all the destinations very conveniently. The hostel manager and owner were extremely great during my stay. Highly recommended and affordable for all types of travellers!
