We spend our anniversary week here and had a very relaxing stay. At some resorts you almost have to fight for a chair by the pool but it wasn't a problem here. The staff is very accommodating. Special kudos to Nico by the beach and Anastasia by the pool. Nico would really go out of his way to help us. Our room overlooked the water and the beach and pool were steps away.

This was our 3rd visit to La Samanna.and it gets better each time! We just returned from a wonderfull week at La Samanna. The property is beautiful - Rooms, public spaces, food and service could not have been better! The views from our terrace were gorgeous -from sunrise to sunset. And everyone we encounted at the hotel was very solicitous and extremely friendly. Whether we were at the pools, the beach, the restaurants, the gym or spa, we always felt so welcomed. A new restaurant, La Spiaggia, was recently added since our last visit in 2019. It was great to have another dining option at the hotel. The food and service were excellent! La Samanna is a winner!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the La Samanna property in St. Martin. It was a top notch experience from beginning to end. The staff is warm and welcoming ensuring each moment was a memorable experience. We highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the island. The views are amazing and you feel as though you have the beach to yourselves. The food was never disappointing and you felt cared for the entire time. I wish we could have stayed longer to experience more excursions and services offered.

La Samanna is an exceptional resort. It has a great feel to it. The staff is fantastic and go out of their way to help. The nicest beach in the Caribbean with great water sports desk. Great tennis and tennis clinics. Everything you could imagine at the breakfast buffet and really fine dinning.

The La Samana Experience was memorable from the welcome drink at check in to the parting gifts at check out. The view, food, staff, service, and amenities were exceptional. It is a an adult and family friendly hotel, with activities for all. It is highly recommended. I will be back!

My husband and I will be talking about this honeymoon trip for years. The property is beautiful and the people are so special. Upon check in, Orrin greeted us with welcome champagne to really make us feel like we were celebrating and on vacation. Claude then showed us to our room and I could not believe what I saw. We got married on a Sunday and checked into La Samanna on Tuesday. When we entered our room, they had our wedding photos printed, in frames, and displayed next to a bottle of champagne. I was so blown away and HOW!! It truly felt like magic. Thank you Matthias and Elenor for your hospitality. Also a special shout out to Tom and Nico at the beach, Nameio and Claudia from dinner, and Xavier and Christopher at check out- they were all so personable, professional, and made us feel very valued. From Claude and Orrin at arrival, to Christopher and Xavier at departure, every person and detail we encountered made our stay the perfect honeymoon. Lounging on the beach was all we wanted after a year of planning our wedding, and this property gave us that plus a lot more. Tom and Nico were our beach servers most of our stay and they were attentive and quick to have another drink for us to enjoy. The property was celebrating their 50th year anniversary and had Michelin Star chefs on property for dining experiences a few nights. It was a cool experience with some amazing food. We had breakfast each morning from the buffet and commented multiple times to one another how this literally was the perfect breakfast. The food was great but pair that with the view of the bay, and you could not ask for more. Matthias gave us a bunch of great suggestions for when we ventured off property, and it helped us explore St. Martin. We even ran into the GM Eleanor who took time to ask us about our stay and where we were from. The whole staff was pleasant, welcoming, and personable. I have had the pleasure of staying at La Samana several times over the years and was absolutely thrilled by our latest experience this December 2022. Our greeting by the staff was exceptional and we were thrilled to have the General ManagerEléonore Astier-Petin stop by as we were about to go to our suite greet us personally and welcome us back to La Samana. Eléonore was there to make sure everything was perfect throughout our entire stay. I observed her talking with many guests and overseeing her entire team during our visit. She appeared to be very detailed orientated, was extremely gracious and helped make our visit that much more special. We were especially impressed by the superb service and hospitality of the staff during breakfast everyday. I had a few special requests and they went out of there way to accommodate. Several of the severs recognized us from previous visits and welcomed us back warmly. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and provided lots of variety. There was something there to satisfy everyone. Lots of healthy options in addition to everything else you would want at an upscale resort. We stayed in a one-bedroom terrace suite (C-11) which had a huge terrace and was just steps away from the beach. The room was lovely, spotless and very well appointed. Great bedding and towels. They provided American adapters for all of the European outlets in the room which was greatly appreciated. The only suggestion I would make is putting in a larger mini-bar with more options. That would be the icing on the cake for this wonderful suite. The housekeeping and room service team were also outstanding. Very efficient, fast and every single one of them possessed exceptional hospitality. The beach attendants were also very attentive and provided everything we needed as were ordered lots of food and drinks from them while relaxing on the beach. I have been to many beautiful beaches around the world and this beach is definitely one of the best! And, because it is so long, it feels like you are on a private beach. This resort is perfect for those travelers with high standards and discriminating taste who crave privacy and the best. You will not be disappointed. …
