Wonderfull hotel in good location and excellent service. Very modern experience. It is situated near a large lake with good access and a long path for romantic walks and exercise. I recommend this hotel.
This hotel is lovely It has all you need with a Restaurant, Cafe, swings for the kids, a Beautiful lake with a pathway the whole way around.. There are Restaurants close by if you prefer to dine out and Parking is Excellent (Undercover)..Rooms were also quite large 😊
The best place to stay north of Brisbane with easy access to the whole sunshine coast . The whole service and the cleanliness of the best western was fantastic. All the staff are friendly happy and are willing to help.
A good hotel for short stay accomodation. Rooms basic but very spacious, clean and bathrooms nice. 15minute drive from airport away from city and very close to North Lakes Westfield, Ikea and Costco. Cafe over looking lake was very nice. BUT : we were not warned at all that our room adjoined a construction site and that we would be awoken at 6.30am by the very loud sound of drills and Jack hammers. I am not sure if other rooms would be impacted as much as ours but I don’t think they should be allowing this room to be used whilst works are going on. I rang reception and at first the receptionist was reluctant to do anything but after a lengthy conversation she did offer us a free breakfast. We would have much preferred a good nights sleep but at least they offered us something.
This is the second time we have stayed here whilst visiting family. It is a nice hotel with a lovely view in a great area and accessible to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the renovations meant we were woken early by loud vibrations from a jackhammer. Also we were very disappointed in our breakfast. Last stay we had a great buffet. Now they just have the Boardwalk Cafe whose staff are unfriendly and the food overpriced and average - a side of mushrooms cost $5 and I got 1 small soggy mushroom. We would stay here again though.
I don’t expect 5 star service from a best western, but a little common courtesy would be nice. As a frequent business traveller, I have never been so rudely spoken to by 3 staff members - including the manager! They don’t tell you that the hotel is half finished with hoarding around the building and the carpark isn’t even complete - got to arrive at the right time to find a park or it’s out on the street for you. Tried calling to book and the girl on reception hung up on me 6 times in a row - she later said she was checking in guests - so I drove down from my business to book a room. There are no smiles here, and heaven help you if you ask a question…don’t waste your breath. Clearly the attitude comes from the top, as the manager on duty was every inch as rude as the girls - speaking over the top of me, and dismissing me - offered me a bottle of wine (which I declined) and then accused me of ‘sticking the knife in’ as I was still trying to converse with him. As for the rooms - basic, like a cheap airport motel - as the only hotel in North Lakes, they may have a captive audience which is a shame…but would rather drive back into the city and battle the traffic, than stay in a place that makes you feel so unwelcome and is so unprofessional. My business is located 200m away - but I will not be staying here again by choice.…
We were visiting family in north Brisbane and booked into the North Lakes due to its location. Its a very pleasant hotel situated beside a lovely lake surrounded by paths with interesting views. Our room had a balcony and while we were delighted with the view, we struck a cold patch in Brisbane and mostly stayed inside while in our room. The room was spacious and nicely set out. With local restaurants seeming to close early, it was nice to be able to set up our room so that we could easily watch TV from the lounge chairs. The shower was very pleasant. The pros were easy, free, onsite parking, a big room with a balcony and very friendly staff. The cons were minimal, but included no room service during our three nights due to staff shortages, the in-house restaurant does not open on Sunday nights and only serves three main courses on a Monday night - a steak and two curries.…
I arrived late at night to discover my booking had been cancelled with no notice or notification. There were no rooms remaining. I was a solo female traveller in an unknown city and I was offered no assistance, just told repeatedly there was nothing they could do. Spoke to GM Jeremy who attempted to lay blame and mansplain the situation - Jeremy I don’t care how it happened, just fix it! Upon coercion they finally found me a new, much better, hotel - highly recommend Oaks at Redcliffe. I will ensure no one from my company ever stays here again, you shouldn’t risk it either!
Love the location close to City if needed. Shopping close by. The rooms are clean and fresh it was everything we needed for our stay. Restaurant and breakfast on location. The five fruit smoothie is yum. Highly recommend Best Western Plus North Lakes Hotel for your next holiday, work, or family visits.
We always use the Best Western for accommodation when needing to stay in Brisbane. Great staff! Always happy and welcoming! Great food! And rooms always clean. It has a lovely view of the lake also. I highly recommend Best Western.
