Exceptional! Just across the street from a very beautiful beach, close to restaurants and a big super market. Very clean, kitchen, spacious and with sea view. And all that at a fraction of price of a hotel.
Disclaimer: I am a multi-continent frequent traveler and am used to the BonVoy style accommodation. Pros: great location just across the public beach. Hosts earn an A+ for hospitality and willingness to please. Property was clean and well kept in shape. Loved that it was near all amenities and transportation including free parking which is at a premium in Pereybere. Cons: The only thing that bugged me after I checked in was that the web site showed pictures of a great swimming pool and modern / upgraded units. I saw at least 7 units and none of them were updated. Not sure whether this was a glitch somewhere but I was looking forward to a swim in the *unseen* pool. To improve: since there were few cons, here are the improvement suggestions and why. 1. Smoking and non smoking units plse. All units appear to be smoking - which is fine but we had a smoker in between 2 non smoking units and it was misery in those 2 units. Headache, coughing, and even talks of asking to move to another unit further away. Overall unwanted stress. 2. Excessive noise in the unit from road and parties nearby. Simple solution - double or triple pane windows would solve that problem. Will also save on air conditioning in summer. 3. Mosquitoes - not as bad in winter as it is in summer. Screens added to 2 above would prevent those bugs from coming into the unit. 4. Kitchen was really basic and as a previous reviewer mentioned can be scary. I was looking for an oven for doing a roast but no luck here. 5. Bathroom - no bath tub or hair dryer. Not sure whether this is an old style shower stall only but there were no GFCI outlet in the bathroom. The loo was *pink*. 6. Locks appeared scary. I appreciate feeling safe but when there are 2 locks, it just has the opposite effect. Overall, I recommend staying if you have access to a local who can help with resolving unexpected issues that cause stress. Would definitely stay again. And if upgraded, would even pay more to stay.…
Right on the beach! The rooms were perfectly clean and staff very helpful. It's located right opposite the beach and is within walking distance to everything, the supermarket, the beach, the colourful restaurants and pubs, the spa and the bakery. The staffs are amazing and extremely hhelpful. It is a self catered appartments and I was so glad to see everything included in the rooms from microwaves, kettle till the cutleries. Peaceful and amazing views from the private terraces. Free WiFi all over the hotel. I will definitely come back again!
Great location, directly across the road from Pereybere beach and easy walking distance to the supermarket and restaurants. Very friendly couple who own/run the place. We were offered an option of two rooms, one bigger, one smaller. We chose the smaller room as it had a balcony overlooking the road and beach. May not have been the best choice though. The kitchen utensils seemed very used and we did cringe a bit (a lot) when cooking, and the shower water leaked into the kitchen floor (To be fair we did not complain about the leak). We chose this accommodation as it was the most affordable in the area and had great beach access, so if this is what you are looking for, then you will not be disappointed.
This apartments are situated directly at the Pereybere beach, you just have to cross the road and your toes are in the sand. The owner family is very friendly and helpfull, and what¨s maybe more important: they are absolutely correct in every way. The apartment I had, Nr 14 was clean and peaceful. Everything is very basic, but sufficient, and did work well. WiFi did work in the room. Supermarket 3 minutes walk away, bus stop right at the gate, taxi station 50 meters away. Do not expect a 5 star hotel for the price, but you get more than what you pay for. I can warmly recommend the Beach Apartments.
If you want the best beach, very kind and attentive service, then stay at Pereybere hotel as we did. We spend there two weeks. The hotel is very clean, towels changed every day, the staff is very responsive and always ready to help. The beach is incredible with a quiet and calm bay. We rented a car from the guys from the hotel. The prices are quite reasonable, do not look for cheaper, this is the best price/quality you can find. The food in the restaurant, where the breakfasts is always delicious and home made with love. You will be serviced with a smile, and cuisine is for every taste. Had a wonderful stay in the best place on the island of Mauritius, we will definitely return to the hotel Pereybere and will meet again my friends!
We stayed two weeks at this place with great pleasure. The location is perfect, just across the street from the best beach in Mauritius (Pereybere beach). Many restaurants and several supermarkets in the vicinity. Bus-stop in front of the building. Village of Grand Baie (many shops, restaurants, several malls, more beaches) only five minutes down the road. We had a very great time here. Little left to be desired. The apartments are basic and simple but large, very clean and include all the comfort that you might need as basis for a holiday spent mostly outside. Great shower, great bed, large balcony, kitchen with all required utensils, large fridge, microwave, tv, etc. I also liked small details like the small dimmed light above the bed which enables a comfortable soft low room lighting just before going to sleep. There is daily cleaning. Free parking. Rooms have airco but we didn't use as it was 'winter' and not very hot. There is also an additional large ventilator provided in the room. On the downside: the hotel is next to a busy road. The rooms are not isolated so the ones on the road-side are noisy. So it's better to take a room a little more hidden from the road-noise (like we did). For security: apartments contain personal safe and additional in every room a complete alarm system! There are one bedroom apartments but also ones with more bedrooms, if required. The owners live downstairs and are very friendly and helpful. There is also a local car-rental downstairs, convenient and also with good price-quality. Towels are, in principal, not provided. However we made an arrangements with the owners for this. I think it will be very hard to find the same kind of price quality anywhere.…
We stayed at this hotel in December, the location is perfect. it's not your 5star hotel but the rooms were well serviced, big and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpfully. Farad even cooked real curry for us! You catch the real Mauritian vibe. Shops and restaurants close by. Transport on the doorstep, had a real good time. Well done guys.
