The Pension also has a spa where we had a great time for a duet massage. The two ladies of the spa are very friendly, smiling and we enjoyed this relaxing time. The guards are also very kind and smiling and present at the Pension entrance to open the gate 7/7 - 24 hours a day. There is an infinity pool on the Inn’s rooftop with magnificent ocean views. It is very nice to cool off and admire the view. The hotel is conveniently located, Peyrebere Public Beach is less than 5 minutes walk to the right of the Inn. Hotel with very beautiful and well-kept common areas. The rooftop area is splendid with a wonderful view of the bay and where you can enjoy an excellent breakfast with quality products, especially jams. Spacious rooms and bathroom, very comfortable beds and pillows. The air conditioning is silent. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is located on the main road, approximately 200 meters from the beautiful public beach. some difficulty in the evening because the road is poorly lit. I would recommend paying more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathroom, and soundproofing better since the windows have little protection from external noise.

We stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff are all friendly and give big smiles. Our hotel room had everything we needed and was comfortable. We noticed a bit of a smell in our bathroom on the first day but this was quickly sorted when we informed staff - we were told to keep the bathroom fan running 24/7 and we never had a problem after that. Breakfast had lots of choice and we liked that they freshly cooked eggs however you liked them. We chose the bed and breakfast option rather than all inclusive but we did eat some other meals in the restaurant and enjoyed them all. The portions are good, you don’t leave hungry! Most days we had the pool to ourselves until mid afternoon and the view up there is great. We enjoyed a couples massage and facial at the hotel spa which was very relaxing and a great price too. As we were flying out at 11pm and not leaving until 7.30, the manager very kindly allowed us to stay in our room which really made a difference to our last day knowing that we had a place to shower and change etc. There was a bit of road noise but that’s to be expected as the hotel is on the main road. We soon got used to it. Ocean V is close to the beach and a supermarket as well as restaurants, bars, dive shops and tour operators. The bus goes from outside the hotel in both directions and is a cheap easy way to explore towns nearby.

All the staff were very welcoming from the moment of our arrival. I asked Krishnee from Guest Services if it would be possible to arrange a small birthday cake for my partner as a surprise as it was her birthday the day after we arrived. The waiter brought out the cake after breakfast the next day which was a great surprise to my partner ! I asked for a price and there was no charge for this which was even a nicer touch ! The cleaners did a great job of cleaning the rooms and the staff who worked in the breakfast and bar areas upstairs were so polite and courteous at all times. We had a couples massage during our stay as there was a special offer on which we took advantage of ! it included a head massage also and this which was done by Vanisha and Geeta who were excellent and were very professional throughout. We had a nice view from our room on the 1st floor which we could see the sea and coastline from. Every morning at breakfast we had a beautiful view overlooking the sea. The only down side we found was the traffic on the main road outside was noisy at times due to some of the locals driving noisy cars and motorbikes. There was a nice 5 min walk to the nearest beach at Pereybere which was not too busy.

Ocean V surpassed all our expectations from a warm reception to an exceptional week where we were pampered and spoilt by all staff. The staff were so good that it's difficult to single out individuals. Housekeeping maintained the rooms with care and dedication; the staff at reception were absolutely courteous and helpful. The team at the Rooftop restaurant was fantastic - every need and request was met with a smile. Adhil took care of all our dietary needs with a smile, spoiling us with delicious Mauritian cuisine. All I can conclude with is that Ocean V is a hotel "par excellence."

This is a difficult review to write as, we have had quite a nice time, but there are things that need to be said! The staff, from humble cleaners to management, are a credit to their profession and strive to make your experience the best it can be! Sadly they have an uphill battle with a property still being touted as new when it actually opened in 2019 and looks and feels like nothing has been done to it since!! Star rating for staff would be five but the hotel itself struggles for a two! Externally the hotel is alongside a very busy road which immediately renders the sea view balcony useless as, who wants to sit and inhale carbon monoxide and listen to lorries and buses grind through their gearboxes! This is also a problem for the rooms themselves as, the windows used for construction offer no soundproofing meaning loud noises from 6.30a.m! A direct link with the road issue is the beach. This is not the pretty beach you see from the hotel but the public beach a good walk along the road and, of more concern, across the road!! I found the journey not to be worthwhile if not a little hair raising!! On to the rooms themselves:- we began life in 217 a little small with a bathroom door that was difficult to shut but acceptable. In the middle of night three a pervasive odour began to emanate from said bathroom which was reported immediately the next morning. The response was immediate but ultimately unsuccessful, some form of liquid was used to mask the smell which of course returned the same evening. The next day we were moved to 202, an upgrade! This was a slightly bigger room in which we stayed for the duration of our holiday but, from time to time the smell was here also!! It seems to us that the staff are being let down by the owners who need to spend some serious money on upgrading plumbing systems and decor along with things like shutters that don’t work properly etc!! A mention for the food which we generally found to be good and much effort was taken to accommodate my partner’s dietary requirements!! Also a mention for the spa treatments, excellent value for money!! All in all we would not return to this hotel but if I were in the hospitality industry I would employ any single member of staff who works here.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ocean V Inn. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and impeccable service. The staff, including Dev, Atish, Manisha, are extremely helpful, always attentive and responsive to our every need. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with an infinity pool offering stunning ocean views. The Inn is also very well located (close to the beach, restaurants, bars etc).
Our room, spacious and equipped with everything necessary (kettle, hairdryer, air conditioning, towels, bathrobes, slippers, hygiene products, mini fridge,...) also offered a superb view of the ocean. We particularly appreciated the high quality bedding and the impeccable cleanliness of the linen.
Finally, we had the chance to enjoy a relaxing moment at the spa. The masseuse was simply exceptional, with fairy fingers. This is an experience not to be missed!
A real plus: the guards, always smiling and warm, greeted us every time, bringing an extra touch of conviviality.
Thank you to all the Pension staff for our unforgettable stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view is fabulous. The food is delicious even the room is so spaceful we book for a Deluxe Room they gave us a Senior Suite which was very impressive and the rooms are very well occupied no words can describe the cleanliness of the bathroom even got amazing pictures in front the light mirror hihihi the balcony gives up a beautiful view at night. The restaurant is not too formal and when I was there the dress included all sorts from casual to evening dresses. Most wore smart casual. The plugs were three pin and the staff were all so lovely. There was a lot of live entertainment in the evenings and the food was really good too. I asked for vegetarian options and they were always very tasty. The breakfasts were really good too with plenty of choices and self service. It was my best holiday ever.
