Located in a quiet lane, some 250 metres from Pereybere public beach and the main road with its shops (bakery), cafes and restaurants and the bus stop for Grand Bay, Pamplemousse and Port Louis, Le Capricorne Villas is a small, self-catering apartment hotel. Its rooms are simply furnished and spacious, the kitchen unit is fairly well equipped, the wifi and AC worked efficiently and the pool is small, warm and inviting. The owner and his wife, Selvina, are very helpful and gave us some good tips on what was going on in the area. They also rent out cars at a very reasonable price. The only negative point was that the satellite TV did not work properly, even after they tried to fix it – but, hey, who needs TV on Mauritius?
Cons: we went there last week end. The food was ok. Around the pool slippery. The rooms vere dirty mainly under the bed ,corners and behind toilets. Toilet and bathroom very small. Pros: The staff was great. The pool was also good.
It was very good can't understand that you did not love your stay.i went there 2times and i enjoy both stays. Am looking forward for a weekend thereat. But didn't you look at the pictures of the villa before going:Oo_O YOU GOT WHAT YOU PAID FOR
We stayed there last two weeks in January. The apartment was clean but not spotless. This is not new development and the utensils, fitting and fixtures were old. Comparing to European standards I would give the apartment one or two stars at least. I have to say that the apartment is big. Usually it was cleaned every second day but the sheets weren't changed every time. The firm bed is too small and it was difficult to get proper rest at night. The air conditioning and safety box is for free. There is no high standard service as well. Once the second TV was left in our room and it stayed there on the floor until the end of our holiday! There is 1 temporary English News channel, few French channels and 1 German channel. Forget about sat tv! The apartments on the 1st floor don't have balconies. The complex was very quiet, only 3 apartments were rented but during weekends it was very noisy and busy. Almost half of the property was rented to the local families with children. There is one small swimming pool and we didn't use it at all. The complex has got security guy from sunset to sunrise. It is located on the small side street which is dark at night. Have a torch with you if you want to go out at night. This is family business and they try hard to make your stay pleasant. We rented the car from them for a decent price and airport transfer. The apartment is 15 min away from Winers supermarket with good variety of products and 10 min away from public beach. …
If you’re looking to get away from the rat race, then this is the place for you! Tucked away in a beautiful nook of Mauritius, this cosy villa will revitalise you. The rooms are neat and tidy. The female manager is very efficient and the cook is fantastic (we were on the half board option which I highly recommend!). Since public transport in Mauritius is easy and reliable, I found that the villa’s location is a stone’s throw from almost anywhere on the western half of the island, North or South. The beach is a two minute walk away and the neighbourhood is tranquil. I visited in September of 2012 and had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately I don’t have photos as my hard drive died on me in December of 2012 and took my photos with it. We were two adults so I don't know anything about kids' activities and did not fill the rating below.…
stayed at foxhill from 3/11/2012 until 17/11/2012 rooms great clean towels and sheets every other day rooms cleaned daily staff so friendly decided to have breakfast every day prepared by "uncle" always left the table full.would not hesitate to stay here again next time i visit mauritius
We stayed at the Foxhill villas in February of 2010, it was a wonderful and homely place to stay at. Felt like a home away from home, the apartments were neat, clean and had all the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay. The manager Vella was hospitable and ensured we were always happy. The breakfast and supper was very good and the portions were always filling. Vella made a Shivarathri supper extra special by having requested the cook to make a variety of vegetable dishes and then serving it on a banana leaf. Situated close to the Pereybere public beach was an added bonus.
We stayed at Foxhill villas in October 2011, as a part of a large group of 30 adults- family and friends. I have to say that all of us are extremely impressed. The Villas and the apartments are clean and spacious. The breakfast and dinner provided are amazingly tasty and filling. The management makes sure that you have eaten enough!! They also provide car rentals and tailor-made tours of the island, which are awesome! The staff deserves a 5-star rating! The villas are located about 5 mins from Perebyere beach. Everyone here is very friendly and nice! We are definately going again next year on a family holiday!! Awesome villas- book them without any second thoughts!
from the moment we arrived we knew we would like the foxhill villas , they picked us up from the airport and dropped us outside the door to our villa, four of us shared a two bedroom with aircon, our host brian was most helpful and pleasent and anything we needed or asked was done with a smile and chat. the villa was a few minutes from the beach , we hired a car from brian and the rates are very good so we drovr to many beaches , we went to troux aux beach and it was beautiful ,we ate in the little resturant across the road and very good it is , we used the villa as a base and drove most days to see the island,we met friends and would take them for a most enjoyable meal in the happy raj indian where the food is most excellent and consistant so must so that most of our evenins were spend here eating and having a few beers . happy days indeed.…
My wife my brother in law and his wife and I spent the last fortnight in March 2009 in this villa and had great time. Clean, attentive service and 5 minutes from the beach and access within 15 mins to a number of restaurants - the car rental facility very competitive and good value - the host most attentive to our needs. The Happy Raja Restaurant - a must if you enjoy indian food.
