This is a charming, boutique style hotel located in a stunning area. The first impression is very positive and this is carried on throughout the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast is outstanding. The restaurant does not open on a Sunday and this was our only disappointment from the visit. The bar is also charming and welcoming.

Great hotel in beautiful Alesund. The bedroom was very cosy with soft feather bedding and crisp white linen. The staff were very friendly. The 6 taster Meal in the Maki restaurant was superb. The staff were very attentive. The views were stunning around Alesund .

We had a delightful two day stay in this hotel and enjoyed this lovely town from a pleasant base. We rate the breakfast among the best of any 5 star hotel. We also enjoyed the six course dinner at the Maki restaurant in the hotel on our first evening. The staff were helpful and assisted with all our queries. The...

This is a very nice hotel located in the heart of Alesund. We had the suite and our stay was absolutely great. The design of the room is incredible and it has enough space for a group of friends. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is delicous and is always filled up by the...

This was a great place to stay, with wonderful views of the sea/marina, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and the most amazing dinner I've had in years at their restaurant. It was prepared as a chef special 6 course dinner, and I didn't know what to expect. I've been to some pretty amazing restaurants from New Zealand to New York,...

A very nice hotel, modern and spacious room. We were in the 2-bedroom suite which feels like a very nice family apartment with a great living room space. Nice views of the Alesund harbour. Not the typical City center hotel Restaurant Maki offers excellent fish dishes. Good breakfast.

Sadly this "boutique" hotel has got ideas above its station. Described by Rough Guide as "outstanding", which was the reason we booked there, it was apparently designed by the "renowned architectural firm" which designed, inter alia, the New Library of Alexandria, but has clearly never designed, or even stayed in, a hotel. The bedroom was tiny, 13.5 feet x 12.5...

We were very satisfied with our stay at Hotel Brosundet. The hotel is well located on the water and our room featured great views. The rooms are not large but are well configured and equipped. Modern amenity with relaxed contemporary/rustic styling. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was a welcome feature! The staff were great and very accommodating. Definitely worth eating...

This hotel absolutely had the most character of any during our trip. I'd love to give it a five, if only because of the decor. It is in a refurbished warehouse, and all of the rooms have exposed beams, etc. The lobby/restaurant also have exposed beams and are are tastefully/warmly decorated. The staff/service at the front desk are outstanding, and...
