Very good location. Clean. Good beds! Perfect breakfast! Good price. Nice staff. Close to public transportation, restaurants and bar’s. Weekend stay in Oslo. Overall a hotel a would recommend and will stay here again!
Very small rooms and uncomfortable warm rooms; you would think that you are in London in 1970’ies. The decor of corridors and rooms has the same vintage styling. But it is clean, very central and everything works. Absolutely no whauuu/factor

The Thon Hotel Gyldenlove is both nice and clean. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is good and the location is excellent. The area is very nice, and the hotel is ideally situated for shopping and dining out. Not in the the city center but close enough.
"For a quiet room, request for one not facing Bogstadveien since trams pass by early and late as well as cars and pedestrian traffic."
"Ask for the kind of room you want. Be honest."
"For views and quietness, the higher floors are better. Best views over the city are from rooms on the east side, for example floor 6."
"Do not choose a room here!"
"The higher up the hotel the further from the busy road. Back of the hotel is quieter and further from the trams."
