Tromso, the Paris of the north, is undergoing a huge transformation since my first visit almost 4 years ago. New hotels, lots more tourists all on the back of the Aurora Borealis and the other brilliant adventures to be had in this lovely city.So does the hotel really matter, when the action is outside? Yes, but the great news is...

As many others, we went to tromsø for the aurora borealis.. Browsed a lot of hotels, some cheaper and some more expensive. This hotel is about a 10 min walk from where the airport bus stops, but still very close to everything.. Just around the corner, we found a super cool bar named Perez. The main walking street is 3...

We stayed here on a trip to see the aurora. I booked with a little trepidation as some of the reviews of this hotel are quite scathing, but in reality, it is what it is advertised to be, a 3 star hotel. Having stayed in other 3 star Norwegian hotels, this was no different. A basic hotel, not glitzy, not...

We recently stayed here and were quite pleased. The staff is fairly detached but is helpful when you ask. The floors and rooms have a cruise ship feel to them. The rooms are big enough but a little small. The beds are quite small but extremely comfortable!! Slept like a log. The bathrooms have heated floors, which is nice to...

This is a really good budget hotel just 2-3 minutes from the town centre. We had a view over the water to the Ice Cathedra and Kristina and the other staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We were in Tromso to see the Northern Lights and this hotel (and the great fares from Gatwick with Norwegian) made...

Small hotel located at the ascent of one of Tromso's main and nicest streets. The building integrates well with the other buildings in the area, and this is a plus in my opinion. Public areas of the hotel are cozy, and even the room was O.K. at first glance, but then came the second.... The room where I stayed, on...

I stayed one night there in Skansen Hotell. I'd say I was really happy about the place where it is situated. Its almost like in the center of Tromso city and its much easier to go any place from the hotel. Also I feel the price also comparatively cheap with good facility. They have very friendly staff too. It'd be...

I went to this hotel on Tuesday 27 August 13 of this week on the off chance that they might just have a room. They did, and it was such good value for money I booked a second night for Thursday.29 August. The rooms were very clean and at around 850k per night including a good quality breakfast I felt...

The hotel is ideally located very close to the center of Tromso. The apartment is very spacious with all the bare necessities, but could do with a few improvements. The hotel reception is only open until 23:00. Our flights were delayed and we arrived after midnight to closed doors. If we didn't call to advise them we'll be late, we...
