Our family of four, mom, dad, daughter 12, son 9, stayed at KT Boardinghouse 2 June 11-14, 2009. We were so pleased with our room and the personal service we received. The room was very clean, my top priority in a hotel room. We were a little crowded with four, but for the price, we didn't mind. It was just...

We stayed 4 nights in K and T #2 which is across the street from the orginal. It is only up one floor so the stairs are not too bad. The location is great and the rooms spotless with the exception of the bath mat and slippers which were very dirty. The room is large and well equipped. I would...

We stayed at K & T for 6 nights in March. It was a perfect base for our vacation, centrally located, with a U-bahn station half a block away. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. We had the green room, facing the courtyard. After a 10 hour flight from Seattle and a plane change in Frankfurt we arrived 4...

We stayed at K & T for 5 days over Christmas. The room was the biggest we had ever had in Europe. It was clean and well-appointed with a little dinette table. There is a computer with internet access in the lobby area. The location is excellent. We could walk to most sites (but took transit at times due to...

The K&T Boarding house is at a very convenient location in Vienna with easy access to metro (less than 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station) and with lots of shops and malls nearby. The room is very spacious and nicely decorated (we stayed in the Green room and it looked exactly like in the pictures) and the owner...

After traveling through Germany, we ended up in Vienna. We didn't have the best of luck finding previous hotels, so we were glad that this place was easy to find (right of the u3 line in a shopping area). Yes, you have to go up 3 floors (more like 5 flight of stairs). so pack light!!! The room was spacious,...

I absolutely loved this place, and even went back a second time on the same trip. Tina is very helpful and hospitable and will do anything to make sure you feel at home. The room is huge, spotless, comfortable and looks brand new. It feels like a home. I also can't believe how affordable it is considering everything that is...

We are a young couple who have just been traveling around Europe, and we stayed at the K and T Boarding house in July. It couldn’t have been nicer. Tina (who runs it) was so so lovely, when we arrived she sat down with us for 5 minutes with a map and went through all the things we could do...

We stayed at the K&T for 3 nights during new years holidays. The location of this boardinghouse is simply excellent, right in the middle of a busy shopping street in central Vienna. K&Ts was very clean, simply but nicely decorated and affordable (even with the higher New Years prices). Tina (the owner) was very helpful during our stay, even giving...

Stayed for a long weekend in Vienna - booking K&T Boardinghouse as reasonable price and conveniently located to nightlife. Very welcoming staff - keen to tell you what to do and where to go in the city. Very helpful. Clean, bright and comfortable room. Simply decorated and nice ensuite. Would definately return to stay here and recommend this place.

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
