After a day of long trip when my wife and I arrived at this hotel, we were told that we have to share the toilet with other rooms which was quite shocking considering the price range. When we expressed our discontent and asked to change the room calmly, the lady at the reception ‘Felicia’ picked up the phone and called... More

Booked a lowbudget room - didn't read clearly. Discussing like on a bazar. We offerd something different. We want happy guests in our house. And these guests would never be happy. The client and the hotel decided to cancel with booking.com. More

Stayed here for a few days in early May. Overall, quiet neighborhood, quaint atmosphere and with a long history. PROS — Check in was smooth and hassle free. — Room was small and cozy; room had a sink and shower, but shared toilet was in the hallway. — My room was on the 3rd floor and there was not much... Instead of a single room, they gave me a free upgrade too a double room, which was really nice and spacious. The hotel is in a very quiet neigbourhood too. Ideal hotel for business trips. Hotel has a nice atmosphere.

We were a big fan of this hotel, it's well run with incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. We also enjoyed the dog and the rabbit! Breakfast is fresh and lovely, all the food is sourced from local suppliers and you can definitely taste the difference. The rooms are also very big with plenty of room to put your things, the... I stayed in this hotel for several days, being in Vienna for a conference. We chose this hotel, because it was a very busy period in Vienna and we could not find one closer to the center and to our conference place. As a matter of fact, it is a little bit outcentered, but very close to a metro station... More

The hotel is an original, it has been in the family for years, and when you enter the dog barks while deciding on which side he should eating his bone... the rooms are clean, the bed is certainly very comfortable, so are the pillows. once one heads down for breakfast, it is a place to stay. Items that don't always... More

The most pleasant staff I have so far met. The breakfast was excellent so next time I had to eat was in early evening. In my room I had a small shower but not a toilet which I knew beforehand. It was fine with me as I did look for an affordable place to stay. I'm sure there are rooms... More

We chose this hotel because it is a short walk from my sister's apartment. Our room was very clean and fairly large. The bedding was very comfortable and the location quiet. Even though it was unusually hot (90s) for a couple of days the temperature in the room was comfortable even without air conditioning. The ladies who run the hotel... More

The Hotel is located outside of vienna, but you can reach the Center by tram in 15 minutes. The neighbourhood is also nice and you can find some shops and restaurants. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The room was very big, clean and had everything you need including a Big tv. The hotel itself is small and you... More

We were there with friends the first weekend in October and got adjoining rooms on the 1st floor. Anna, the owner was very gracious, helpful and patient. The hotel was undergoing extended remodeling and the outside of the building was surrounded in scaffolding which made it a challenge to find. The windows had plastic over them to keep dust out... Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).

“I had a rooms with shared toilets, I guess this is because of the problems getting blumbing into some rooms - (my room had lots of space for a toilet) so this is not a sign of cheapness or lack of quality”
