Easy to miss the front entrance in a shopping complex - reception on 3rd floor, all a bit unusual - giant room but 2 single beds, anteroom with separate storage room & bathroom, seems a bit old world but not quite there. Breakfast adequate but quite pricey for what is provided. Tiny elevator that only goes to reception floor, you...

If you are happy with a parakeet having the run of reception - but rumour has it he cannot fly - then it could be for you. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Reasonable price. Location ok. Decor odd and breakfast best avoided.

The room was really large and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was awkward and the shower was difficult for my husband, who is quite tall. We tried the breakfast one time and found it not to be worth the charge. There are bakery cafes right by the hotel that we preferred. Overall it was a great experience in a very...

The hotel is situated 5 minutes from entrance to the park which leads you to the Schonbrunn Palace main entrance. I visited the hotel in July 2015. I really enjoyed our stay. The staff and the manager were very friendly upon arrival and did a very fast check-in and gave us excellent recommendations for sight-seeing on first day,it was good...

We (2 Adults + 3 Children) in Hotel Ekazent. Most of the reviews that people wrote are correct. This is an old Hotel but with a very good location for public transportation. Although the hotel is old, the rooms are very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served on the roof with very...

We've spent three wonderful days in Vienna. The hotel is nice, clean, friendly. It has an excellent location in the 13th district, close to Schönbrunn palace, and has good public transport connections, downtown just 5 stops with the underground.

This hotel is easily accessible by public transport. The number 58 tram comes from the Westbahnhof, and stops almost in front of the hotel. There is also Hietzing U-Bahn station on line U4 6 minutes away, and this line reaches the city centre in around 10 minutes. Schonnbrunn is also 10 minutes walk away. The hotel itself is very nice...

Staying in Hietzing

Neighbourhood Profile
Hietzing
Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the other half to discover the secret charms of this posh residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down Hietzinger Hauptstrasse for Kaiserpavillon (Emperor’s pavilion), an Art Nouveau gem right on top of U4’s metro railtracks. At local institutions Café Dommayer and restaurant Plachutta you can mingle with residents, their families and friends. Dommayer has risen to fame since waltz king Johann Strauss and his orchestra performed there regularly. If you want to go beyond private villa gazing visit Klimtvilla and Hermesvilla. Art Nouveau genius Gustav Klimt had his last studio in a now beautifully renovated villa, which is open during spring and summer. Hermesvilla at Lainzer Tiergarten animal enclosure and nature park is a must for all romantics and fans of Empress Sissi.
