Old, tired, very dark hotel. Could be so much better if only they'd put in coffee makers or kettles. No amenities such as bar or coffee shop, no ice or vending machines, no staff available after 7PM, no one to take bags to rooms. Attitude of staff needs to be improved upon except for lovely young woman on the desk,...

We were staying at this PLACE during 2 days. Say, that I was shocked - means nothing. Firstly, everything here is OLD, except the bedroom. There are different types of plates, forks, spoons at the breakfast, which is very POOR. Secondly, the man at the 'reception' wasn't interested in us at all. No one didn't help us with our luggage,...

This hotel is located off the city centre, yet one could walk to the centre (20-30min) or other areas of interest (City hall, museums, parks etc). The metro is about 200 meters away. To take the metro to and from the airport/city centre, you have to change lines. The hotel itself is part of an old building: You enter the...

Clean and functional at good price for city centre. Situated on ring road with easy access to transport to city sights. The food was well presented with a choice and the staff were helpful in allowing for dietary needs.

Hotel is clean and offers good value in a great location to discover vienna. Free wifi and friendly reception staff. Limited facilities in the terms of bar and restraunt but plenty on the streets around it. Hotel reception is not staffed 24 hours a day but this was not a problem. This hotel is not located on the ground floor...

Be mindful that you have to climb one flight of stairs to get to the lift. The rooms were clean and basic but fine for a shirt stay. There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room which would have been nice. On the second day we asked for extra pillows but we weren't provided with them until...

Pluses, extremely helpful staff. Large room (or at least mine was large). steps away from many sights, very close to public transportation. Good breakfast (sufficient choices of breads fruits, cold cuts, yoghurt, cereals) of excellent quality. minus- it is a pension so you have to make it up one flight of stairs to get to the elevator. The staff are...

Stayed only for one night. The room was spacious and clean, free wifi. The view was lovely. Hotel is only a short walk to ubahn and a 15 minute walk to Stephans platz. Had a bit of a trouble finding it as its in the building and you have to find the right doorbell, not a big deal, would definitely come...

Staff at reception are helpful and friendly. Quality and room space of the "Single room" that I'm allocated is only above average. Room cleanliness is satisfactory but sound insulation between rooms is not too good. Shower unit is quite small even for a petite size Asian person. Perhaps a double room unit might give you more room space. Toiletries only...

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
