I feel compelled to make sure that good service is acknowledged. They say that a hotel is only as good as its concierge and boy did the Ritz Carlton live up to that. They managed to get me great seats at the State opera for the Christmas day showing of the magic flute just one day before the event. Meanwhile...

The name Ritz Carlton has always brought to mind impeccable service, comfort and cleanliness. This hotel has unfriendly staff and is dated. There was no recognition of my platinum status with the exception of a card they handed me at check in. Overall poor experience. There are better hotels in Vienna. They will see me in the future before the...

Dear Kathleen B, Thank you for having firstly chosen our hotel and having stayed with us. We are of course all very disappointed to know that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel and I am of course very disappointed that your experience at my hotel left you so underwhelmed. Furthermore, I do understand that you are used...

You know when you walk in the bathroom, and the floor beneath you is heated, that you're staying in one top luxury hotel. The rooms are large and very well equipped. There's a 'walk-in' closet stocked with shoe horns, umbrellas, clothes brushes etc and the bed has to be the most comfortable I've ever experienced. The coffee machine has a...

If you're traveling to Vienna, stay at the Ritz Carlton. We arrived on Christmas Day and our concierge Gwendolyn arranged for our 11 year old daughter to be greeted by Santa (Javier the bell man). This included foot prints leading to our room and a Christmas tree inside. Our entire stay we were greeted WARMLY by Elizabeth in the club...

Well located, easy walking to all central attractions. Had a junior suite, so plenty of room. Excellent standard of fitout in room, with king bed and large bathroom with separate shower. Club Lounge was excellent, with quality food and drink offerings all day. Helpful and friendly staff. In house restaurant Dstrikt Steakhouse quality food in a casual atmosphere. Some rooms,...

Arrived here for the second stop on our honeymoon and on the first night were treated to the delightful smell of a stink bug. After searching the area, we discovered one had crawled onto my hairbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. We trapped it in a glass, called the front desk, and had it removed. The hotel did offer to...

Dear Brendan N, I am so sorry to hear about the issues you faced with the insects in your room. Unfortunately, in the park opposite the hotel, there is a small invasion occurring but the authorities have assured us this is under control and will be dealt with. The bugs are looking for a warmer environment and as soon as...

My husband and I stopped to eat at the steakhouse in the Ritz; however, the were full for the evening. We spoke to Phillip, the concierge, for assistance. He immediately got us reservations to a great local restaurant. No matter where you visit, the Ritz always takes care of you. Thanks to Phillip for saving our evening!

Hotel location and staff were wonderful but the chain doesn't seem to honor the Marriott Loyalty program. This made holiday travel very uncomfortable during the holidays. Luckily, when contacting the Hilton they were willing to take care of everything and we were able to move.

Dear Don P, I am of course very disappointed that your experience at our hotel left you so underwhelmed. As regards your comment on the missing benefits for Marriott Rewards members at The Ritz-Carlton properties, I do truly see your point. Unfortunately, our brand has different rules and regulations than other Marriott properties and so it is currently out of...

I was very sorry to read below about the couple who had a disappointing weekend. Usually that would be us. My stay here was seamless from checkin to checkout. The room was very well done: Hoffmann style furniture and a big bathroom . I would encourage others to take the breakfast option as I didn't and regretted it. The breakfast...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
