The location of the Ritz Carlton is great: it is next door to Kursalon (where Johann Strauss historically directed his orchestra and concerts are performed) and the beautiful city park. The railway station Stadpark is two minutes away with the train to the Schonbrunn only 15 minutes away. The staff at the hotel are friendly, pleasant and helpful. The rooms...

Recently stayed here for a long weekend. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located with a short walk to most areas of the city. Our room was bright and airy with big windows and a balcony. There is a great bar serving unusual cocktails with a nice seating area outside in the sunshine of an...

This hotel has everything you could possibly want in a stay. Rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, quiet and comfortable. The staff is exactly what you'd expect--smiling and helpful. The details here count, down to the smell you will inhale when you walk through the front door. They have a custom made scent (unavailable for purchase) that is oh so...

There are many positives about this hotel, such as the location is extremely convenient to the city center while also in a much quieter location than the big name hotels closer to the Opera House. Also, the pillow/bed cover/ mattress combo was perfect - exactly what you want in a hotel to provide a good night's sleep. Further, due to...

The hotel is in a good location only 5 minutes walk from the subway and 10 minutes walk form the centre of Vienna. We stayed in a Premier Room with balcony, which was nicely furnished and had a beautiful bathroom. The staff always greeted us with a smile and were very helpful. We used the concierge to recommend & book...

Quite surprised this hotel does not rank in the top 10 in Vienna. Fantastic experience, great service and staff. Terrific steakhouse and cigar bar attached to the restaurant. Beautiful lobby area and one of the best rooftop bars in the city. Spa facilities were very nice, wish they had a jacuzzi hot tub but the pool was warm and the...

We stayed for 3 nights on a vacation to Vienna. The hotel is very comfortable with a luxury/modern decor in a great location. The rooms are large and impeccable. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the small park to the rear which proved to be very quite. The pool and sauna were also up to the same...

Absolutely outstanding hotel and stay. The staff couldn't have been more welcome, giving us a late check out and being so friendly. Nothing was too much bother. Breakfast was absolutely superb. The service was excellent and attention without feeling intrusive. Perfect.

We went to Vienna for a 4-day post business vacation, the facilities and staff at the Ritz Carlton Vienna made our stay, from breakfast every morning, to the beautiful room, and the great recommendations of the concierges, we enjoyed ourselves to the max. Will definitely return to this property.

Wonderful visit! Perfect location, very nice building, rooms (their bed are perfection!) and restaurants. The breakfast is super good, as the afternoon-tea. The staff was amazing from the beginning to the end. Viktor one of the bellman was very nice and welcoming, Simon & Philipp both of the Concierges were super nice and helpful. Reception & Restaurants staff were awesome...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
