The location of the hotel is very good next to the main shopping street with nice restaurants. Hotel itself is nice, staff friendly, room was little smaller but nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast really good. Hotel has its own parking for €18,which compared with other hotels was OK price. Walking distance to city is 30-35min or you can use the public transport, which is near the hotel.I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting for the weekend as the location and service is good.

Positively to mention is the excellent location near a train (Westbahnhof) and subway station. Our stay was from 31.12.2022 to 03.01.2023. Room was a little small for 3 people, but we didn't spend much time in there anyway, except for sleeping. Room was not cleaned at the first day. Went down to the reception and was told that 10 cleaning ladies didn't show up on the first day of the new year. No apologies, but at least received new towels. Management seems to be uninspired. In other hotels have received a bar voucher or bonus points/credits upon such lack of service. Second day the housekeeping staff issue was still not solved as I heard more customer complaining about untidy rooms at the reception. Upon check-out again no question about if we have been satisfied with our stay neither a goodbye! Only the breakfast service team did a great job in cleaning and arranging free tables and filling up the buffet items despite the hotel seemingly been fully booked.

We would rate the hotel as good/average. We have found some upsides as well as downsides to the hotel. The plus would definitely be considered the location of the hotel, not in the center of the city but beside the shopping district, a couple of meters from Westbanhof (from where you can get to any point of the city), near a lot of cheap cafes and bars, which was very comfortable since we were with a seven year old and we could get around very easily. Also the staff was very helpful and friendly (even giving somethings out of the mini bar for free for the kid :) so this was a very pleasant touch. The rooms were clean enough, although very very small. The most notable downside of the hotel would be its breakfast, which didnt have any variantions during our seven day stay (even the slightest), it was the same every morning and I wouldnt say that the choice was wast, the eggs and sausages were done the same way every morning which the kid didnt like and all he would eat was bread and butter :( All in all we are pretty satisfied with our experience but some aspects of it werent as good as we have expected, thats why we would rate it 3 stars out of five.

I noticed blood dot stain on the pillow case and as well as on the duvet cover. And that was the evidence that they never change the beddings when the guests are there. I stayed there for a week! Only the final night they changed and the room service was better than other days. Maybe it was a different hotel maid. One apparently a Ukrainian or Romanian or Lithuanian?? That staff was rather rude. I asked them to clean the room while I am out, but the lady came to clean and when I requested she just rolled her eyes and never came back to clean. Only on third or fourth day, the room was cleaned even though everyday I hang Room Service card at the door. And I placed the blood stained pillows on the floor with a notice “no need” they always bring it to my bed without changing the cases. Because the blood stain evidence shows me all. Reception guys were friendly.

Absolutely tiny room, the smallest I've seen in any hotel in any country.
The shower is so small, that if I step into it my head touches the shower head which touches the ceiling, I'm only slightly more than 6 foot tall.
The bathroom doesn't have a door that closes, just a sliding partition which means zero soundproofing between the toilet and the bed next to it, and depending on where someone stands in the room they can see you completely. Romantic.

The public corridor is also 2 meters from the bed separated by a single door. So again zero soundproofing from the public corridor. Anyone talking, laughing, vacuuming sounds like they're in bed with you. Expect to be woken up a lot.
The staff told us all the rooms are the same.

No power socket in the bathroom, so wired electric shavers, hair straighteners, not possible in the bathroom.

Hair was visibly in the bed when we arrived so not clean.
The pillows are absolutely awful, zero head/neck support. I don't know if there's a feather shortage in Vienna or Leonardo are just cheap, but you can buy decent pillows in the nearby Ikea for around €3 so I'd recommend anyone stuck staying here pop by Ikeaon the way to the hotel.
The mattresses is also some sort of cheap memory foam style so they don't offer any back support. I woke up with a bad back and wasn't able to get back to sleep laying on my back after that, so had to sleep on my side to be able to sleep without discomfort.

The main lamp in the room didn't work at all, but there's some sort of spotlight pointed directly at the bed, maybe for the amateur directors among us?

The staff were very cold and borderline rude if we ever needed to interact with them.

The lifts are tiny and barely fit more than 2 people with suitcases, yet because the wait is long people will squeeze their way into them anyway.

It's incredible how disappointing the hotel was considering the best hotel we ever stayed in way Leonardo Berlin. Not sure how this one can be so terrible in comparison.

Just back from 4 nights in twin bed comfort room. Got an excellent rate by booking directly with hotel. I didn't get breakfast in the hotel because there are plenty of options outside. The location of the hotel is not in the centre but is at the ubahn station which brings you to the centre in minutes. The station is in a mall with plenty of shops and food outlets. Just around the corner from the hotel is the biggest shopping street in Vienna, Mariahilferstrasse. So you are spoilt for choice. The room itself was not big but fine for 2, the bathroom had a frosted glass door as mentioned in other reviews and was small but I found no issue with it and the shower was very good. There was a kettle and tea, coffee provided and proper full sized mugs! There was a fridge which was great for storing water and snacks. My room was first floor facing the back, there was no traffic noise but because it was by the lift there was noise from guests passing by. Maybe get a room away from lift if this bothers you. Housekeeping and reception staff were excellent. I had a few days in Vienna and preferred to spend my money and time out and about so this place suited perfectly.

We stayed here a few weeks ago for our first time in Vienna purely based on budget considerations (incidentally, we will be staying at another Leonardo hotel in a few weeks but without having stayed at the chain before, we were a little nervous. Not anymore!) . We were very pleasantly surprised. Front desk staff is helpful and answers questions you may have about moving around the city etc with ease. Location is fantastic; just a few seconds away from the subway and a few minutes' walk from multiple shopping and dining options. The train station close to the hotel is a good jumping off point to explore Vienna; which is far more spread out than we realized. Room was comfortable and serviced when needed; my only complaint is the pillows (too soft for my liking). The hotel seemed to be popular with tour groups (like people buying vacation packages, as we saw a few large groups checking in); there was also a seminar taking place at the hotel during our stay but everything ran smoothly. We didn't use any of the hotel facilities but people seemed to enjoy the lobby restaurant/bar.

We have recently returned from a trip to Vienna, realising a dream for my wife to see the Lippizana horses at the Spanish Riding School. As we had never been to Vienna we decided to make the trip a 'mini break' and explore the City, so we booked a 4 night stay at the Leonardo Hotel through British Airways. We arrived early evening time at the hotel and checked in without any problem. The young gentleman who attended to us was called Sam, who was polite courteous and friendly.....always a good sign at the outset. The room was compact but very comfortable and we slept well every night of our stay. Our first evening we relaxed in the bar with a beer to chill after the day's travelling and had a good chat with the gentleman behind the bar (Lubo ?) who was also friendly and accommodating, so our first impressions of the hotel were very good indeed. Next morning we were welcomed at breakfast by yet another friendly face, the gentleman showing us to a table, and tucked into a hearty breakfast being most impressed by the variety of food on offer. Cereals, several different meats and cheese, yoghurts etc....an impressive array. I note a previous recent review stating there was little selection. This from our experience is not the case as we ate on each day of our stay and enjoyed a hearty and tasty breakfast each day (I also note said reviewer posted previously in November 2021, complaining and stated they would never return.........). To sum up, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo and will certainly look to return in the future. The team here compliment the hotel perfectly in my opinion so well done to you all - congratulations

A nice and cozy hotel. The location is great. Friendly staff. A very good breakfast buffet.
The only negative things about this hotel are the internet and housekeeping. The internet is not stable at all. It’s very difficult to get a good stable signal. Not suitable if you’re traveling for work and you need to do work in the hotel. Housekeeping would not make up the room unless you leave a request at the front desk!

Leonardo Hotel is located very well, at the end of Mariahilfe Street. There are some good restaurants and coffee shops. Also the hotel is very close to the metro station (few minutes walking).
The room is good, also the bed and the bath.
By the way, you can buy the metro tickets for 24, 48, or 72 hours at any tobacco shop, at very good price. A normal metro ticket for one travel is 2.50 euro, and a ticket for 72 hours is 17.10 euros, which is very convenient.
I recommend Leonardo Hotel to stay few nights in Vienna.

At that time of night most places will not be serving food and the hotel does not have a restaurant. They have a small selection of snacks---beers, fruit, pringles etc for self service. The best place at that time of night would be the Westbahn train station just a few yards up the street. There is an all night supermarket and some hot snacks places for grab and go.
