I visited this hotel with my wife on the 20th Jan- 24th Jan 2017 for our wedding anniversary. I had some reservations before I was due to travel due to some of the reviews that had been left by other visitors to the hotel. But these were quickly put to rest on our arrival first the staff were very helpful...

Decent location, very clean and helpful staff. Bit of a walk to down But nothing too hektic. Would highly recommend. Only down side is that the shower is tiny and the lighting isn't very good. All in all great hotel will be back.

This hotel is a great place to stay in Vienna. Perfect location, walking distance to the city center and Mariahilferstrasse street. Wonderful neighborhood, modern artistic shops and reastaurants. I stayed here for 3 nights in July and found the location to be perfect - a good walk into centreville if I wanted to stretch my legs, and if I was feeling less active, a short jaunt to ride public transit. My room overlooked the street and it was possible to hear noise from outside, but it wasn't overly...

The room 026 was of good size with ample storage and high ceilings but it is clear that that have been led by the designers over practicality....

What a lovely room and bathroom. We enjoyed the breakfast and taking a warm bath. The room was a bit to warm for us at night so we opened the window. But the street is a bit loud. Overall a very good stay and lovely breakfast

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
