Very good hotel. I stayed here several times in both hotel's wings (I prefer central building but not much difference). Breakfast is ordinary hotel breakfast but it is ok. Staff is polite ad helpfull. I didn't like their charging attempts of the "pay later room" (not authorization but charging) as it was quite clear on the reservation. And also double...

Never again - the owner is a disgrace - after asking for the manager twice at reception - the owner called the police and 2 security guards and asked us to leave. When we complained to the website the owner stated that he would do it again and accused us of threatening the life of the reception person. All complete...

This hotel clearly beat my expectations. When rating hotels, the price is an important factor for me. It also sets my expectations. A hotel that charges top prices and offers a “reasonably ok service” would get a much lower rating from me than a hotel that charges reasonable price and offers a “reasonably ok service”. And that’s why I heartily...

Really friendly staff and convenient location. Great advice at reception and helping buy our onward tickets made our stay. Unfortunately the bed was slightly broken. But this didn't stop a good night's sleep or a nice stay. Good wifi strength and easy to get to the metro station.

I had a room 007- with a garden view. Very stylish lobby, however rooms are not so cool as at the pictures. So be ready for 3+experience. The shower a bit strange as well, old school. The Sunday's breakfast ends in 10.00 so I missed it due to late wake-up. Location close to the main shopping street. Supermarket and gym...

A lot of choice at the breakfastbuffet. Beautiful spacious twinrooms with balcony, a large, modern bathroom with much space for the shower. The hotel is near a metrostation in a shoppingdistrict. Friendly welcome. Democratic prices for the drinks at the bar and in the room (mini bar). There is a parking under the hotel, but the places are limited, so...

1060 hotel is located near Vienna's main shopping street, Mariahilfferstrasse ( ca 300 meters), and that is it's ( almost) only positive point. The other one was, in our case, a very good price comparing to similar hotels in the area. The hotel itself is very average, and like most of Vienna's hotels: clean and quiet. Room is ok, nothing...

I had a great two night stay in the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel manager, Mark, was extremely helpful and went out his way to cater for my special dietary needs. The service was great all round (including providing an adaptor when my international adaptor didn't fit into Viennese sockets). I would recommend to those...

This hotel is very well located: only 2 min walk fromma subway station, just off of Mariahilfer Str (one of the main shopping streets). Rooms are very clean, breakfat has a wide variety of food and is tasty. The staff in the hotel is very nice and helpful. Best of all is the price!! This is a great hotel.

We have just spent 7 really enjoyable nights in this hotel. The rooms are clean comfortable and have fridges and safes. The balcony was disappointing it's really a fire escape and cannot be used for sitting outside. The central area overlooked by the balconies is scruffy and ugly. The staff were brilliant and really helpful, the breakfast is excellent. It's...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
