Please stay away from this hotel! I'm currently booked for 3 nights at this hotel and did so due to the pretty high rating the hotel has and due to its location in District 2. However, I would never stay here again and strongly urge those considering staying here to please look elsewhere. While the location and price may seem...

The room I stayed was clean, quiet and well equipped. The buffet breakfast was available from 6:30am and taste was excellent. The location of the hotel is close to both U-bahn and S-bahn station and convenient to access the historic area.

This hotel was near the prater area of vienna just 3 stops to the state opera, on the easy to use metro the nearest stop to the hotel being nestroy and costing €2.20. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and efficient with a good breakfast. Plenty of places to eat nearby, in the evening. Would highly recommend it.

The Austria Classic Hotel Wien (Vienna) i ideally located for a visit to Vienna. It is close to the Prater park, the rail station and the subway with easy links into the city centre. If you decide to use it, the rail station is also a pick up point for one of the hop-on-hop-off bus services. Check out my other...

We stayed at the Classic Hotel Wien in April for vacation. It's really lovely and cosy hotel in the center of Vienna. Quite reasonable balance in everything: comfort, location, rates, very professional information presented by the hotel on their website for the visitors and friendly welcome and assistance at reception stand. Prior to out trip we were kindly provided with...

This hotell is nicely located with short distnce to Messe and fun park, with metro easy to go to center. Staff is friendly, breakfast really good. Single room is a bit small but bathroom sapcy, and light in room should be brighter. It is difficult to work if you do not have proper light. In the. In the mornings there...

We stayed 3 nights here and were very pleased. The front desk staff was very friendly and most helpful in answering our many questions during our stay. Our room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was larger than we had expected. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and offered more variety than we anticipated. The location is quite convenient, just a...

Lovely friendly hotel, from arriving to leaving, could not fault anything. We arrived early, so thought we would drop bags off and head into city, but the Reception found a room that was ready and we unpacked. Room was very clean and comfortable also very quiet. Bathroom maybe a bit small, but workable. Safe in room that was free and...

Room very large, easy connection for wifi. The breakfast is very good, many different things to choose: juice, coffee, milk, yogurt, eggs, ham, cheese an so on. Maybe it's not so cheap but it's very good

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
