Our stay was only for two nights, we were able to enjoy our time in Vienna immensely in large part to the convenient location of Pension Dr. Geissler. Having booked our stay more than a month in advance, and opting to visit in early November...More
I just returned from a trip where I stayed at this Pension. After looking at the rate we paid ($116 Euros per night), I can't say that this is a particularly good deal given the stark, utilitarian property. I would have rather paid an extra...More
My friend and I stayed at Pension Dr Geissler in June 2005 for 4 nights. The hotel is in an excellent location - walking distance to most of the major sites. They upgraded us to a 3 bedroom room - which was huge and very...More

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The
Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
