Pension Residenz is run by a helpful and knowledgeable staff. Located just outside the Ring, this comfortable hotel is situated on a quiet side street with eating and public transportation nearby. We would certainly come back to Pension Residenz.

The hotel is nicely located in the center about two city blocks outside the Ringstrasse and trams, but it is on a quiet street. It is a clean, basic hotel on the upper floors of a building and serviced by an elevator. The room we had was comfortable and reasonable furnished. The hotel had a free Internet terminal for quests....

The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was served on a different floor and was adequate. The hotel is located in a quiet street close to the Town hall. It is pretty much close to everything and was an ideal base for exploring Vienna for us.

We initially had a little difficulty finding the hotel which is tucked away down a side street near the Rathaus with no obvious sign outside. Note that there is a small sign next to the intercom by the entry door so make sure you know the building number as you might walk past first time. Although not right in the...

This small, unassuming hotel is hard to find, like a series of apartment suites in a beautiful old building. The experience is completely genuine, the management/owners a family Ziegler who are careful to provide for your every request. Herr Ziegler has run this with his son for many years, and is so personally invested that the honey provided with breakfast...

Everything about this hotel works with an understated, "real Vienna" feel. A huge unexpected plus was the free high-speed wifi. Breakfast included single in decent-sized room with a huge lovely window and no-nonsense, functional furniture and clean en suite bathroom for EUR 65. Perfect location for one of the best walking cities I know. You could be an old-fashioned boarder...

We were in Pension Residenz 20-22 december. Clean rooms, large bathroom, good breakfast. The Chriskindlmarkt is 5 minutes walking distance. Also many the other sightseeing highlights. For 32 euro's the taxi takes you from the airport to the hotel. A great value for money deal. Guus van Dee

Pension residenz is a small hotel in the inner city of vienna. It's a lovely place, rooms are clean and well cared. Bathroom is with shower, enough space, but it shouldn't be smaller. Staff is helpful and always friendly, you feel welcomed. Prices are fair for that location. All in all a good place to stay.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
