In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Located near Graben and the Spanish Riding School, a prefect base to explore Vienna. It is a heritage building so has some charm.

There are some unusual colours used in the decoration and parts a bit worn (they need attention). It is very clean.

The breakfast is generous

does the hotel have a vegan menu?
I saw a number of non-meat, non-dairy items in the breakfast buffet, but I don't think it qualifies as vegan. Good luck.

How do i book Airport transport. We (2 persons) are arriving at 1110 on Thursday 17 May 2018 (BA696 ) and leaving on Sun 20 May 2018 at 1415 (BA 701).
There is a municipal railway station inside the airport. Linie S7 gets you to Bahnhof /WienMitte (Central Vienna) in 25 minutes (ticket costs Euro 4,40). A faster way of getting into the city is by CAT (City Airport Train), which gets you to Bahnhof/Wien Mitte (Central Vienna) in 16 minutes (Euro 10.- to 14.- per person). From Bahnhof /Wien Mitte take the underground line U3 in direction Ottakring to Stephansplatz (two stops from there). At Stephansplatz take the exit Graben, walk down this street and then Habsburgergasse is the 5th street to the left. Another possibility is to take the airport bus: in 20 minutes you will reach Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz. (Euro 8.-). Once there, take the underground line U1 in direction Reumannplatz to Stephansplatz (only 1 stop). At Stephansplatz take the exit Graben, walk down the street and the Habsburgergasse is the 5th street to the left. For your convenience, we can organize a pick up service from the airport on your request. The ride takes ca 30 minutes and costs Euro 40 to 50 (up to 4 people).

Can we be sure to have a room with no cigarette or pet odour if we request that? Stayed before and staff changed our room happily because of cigarette smells. Now notice that pets are allowed. Is heating via separate oil heaters managed in our room or is it centrally controlled? Thanks for any advice.
Dera Guest, thank you for your questions! We do accept pets , but actually we do not have a lot of requests, so it would be not a problem to offer you a room without pet smell. Concerning the cigarette smell, we offer only a few number of smoking rooms, but to make sure , just inform the reception , so that we can check it. The heating in Pertschy Palais Hotel is centrally controlled. We wish you a good journey !

"Rooms at front bit noisy from traffic in street below"
"Pick another hotel,if the quality of the room alone is important."
"No tips to share this time!"
"Get a room overlooking the back street. Less noisy no clip clopping horses!"
"Just make sure not to get room 322. The floors groan and creak and there is mold on the carpet near the bathroom."
