The K+K brand usually delivers what you expect from a midrange hotel and the Palais is no exception. Quite obviously the front of house staff are very well trained so are always polite and friendly; the breakfast room staff work very hard to ensure the buffet is well stocked and debris is cleared promptly. The location is very good, all...

The situation on Randolf Square is ideal. It is central enough to walk to many places and tour bus stops. The square is quiet with minimal traffic just children in play ground. The hotel is in good order with no tatty edges often seen on many establishments. Shower was excellent at all times. The buffer breakfast was good, being constantly...

We came to Vienna, a city we have visited many times, for a 3 night stay. We'd never stayed at the KK Palais before ( but have been at the Marie a Theresia on several occasions). We were delighted to save the €35 we usually spend on a pre-booked cab. The airport bus to Schwedenplatz is €13 return! From the...

Booked this hotel through British Airways Vienna vacation package for a 7-night stay at K+K Palais Hotel. Excellent location. Hotel is situated in Rudolpfsplatz in Innere stadt (1st municipal district of Vienna), which is actually the city center. Neighborhood is quiet and quite close to restaurants, 2 grocery stores (Billa & Hofer) & a small park across the hotel. Airport...

Excellent central location, handy for all the places of interest. Stylish, modern, understated decor. Spacious room overlooking the park. Friendly, helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choices. Pity about the congestion near the bread, toaster and hot breakfast. Good restaurant next door. U-bahn from Schwedenplatz takes you direct to Schonbrun Palace. Certainly recommend this hotel for a good...

Had a very enjoyable stay. Room was large and included a sofa, the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. The location was good, in a small square, we were able to walk to all the sights, although public transport is nearby. Would recommend.

First impressions were that the hotel was (spotlessly) clean and modern, with efficient but not overly friendly reception staff. However, this changed when, unfortunately, my friend had her purse stolen at Naschmarkt (beware!) and they really couldn’t be more helpful – looking up the numbers for her banks, letting us use the reception phone, directing us towards the nearest police...

We had a wonderful stay during our honeymoon in the K+K Palais. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Bobby at the front desk who assisted us with all our needs with a smile. What a wonderful experience, we will definitely return. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, the best we had throughout our trip. Our room was also lovely as we...

I'll start by saying this is a good hotel but spoilt by advice from reception. There is a restaurant next door called Das Heinz (note that almost all the Trip Advisor reviews are from people staying at the hotel). Now to my gripe. We arrived on Friday May 1. Normally you would expect a selection of non ethnic restaurants to...

We booked a short break through BA and chose this hotel as it is fairly central and many of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. There is a tube station a few minutes walk away. We used it when we travelled to the Schonnbrun Palace. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of fruits, yoghurt, cheese...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
