Older budget hotel that is showing the signs of its age. Very friendly staff and the location is alright but don't expect a lot of amenities. The rooms are clean but the mattresses are less than 6 inches thick and not very comfortable. There was a pot to heat water and cups, but no coffee or tea and no hair... More

From the outside, this hotel looks a little run down. But inside is clean and comfortable with decent size rooms and a nice bathroom. This is all an economical traveler needs in Vienna. Only a 7 minute walk to the ring and UBahn. Breakfast was simple but filling. The host was helpful and accommodating. Rooms are a little dated but... More

Though first impression when one enters the hotel is a little put off, the rooms are clean, comfortable and basic. The management was quite helpful in giving out enough information. We felt that the breakfast buffet could be a little more better. and yes, the hotel is very centrally located and the nearest train station is around 5 mts walk from... More

The hotel was good. The rooms are decent sized and you get a good wifi connection. The management were prompt to any requests made. Anisa was very good and helped us in smooth checkin. She also gave a short tour of the neighborhood on the maps. The hotel is quite close to public transport and major attractions. Once you enter... More

The location is perfect, a few minutes from votive church and the U-bahn, and around a 15 mins walk to the city center. The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean, the breakfast though with little variety, was very delicious. the only comment, is that the pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a perfect stay!... More

Look no further, this is the place if you are looking for clean budget accommodation that is near to city centre. The room is comfortable and clean. Major points of interest such as Stephanplatz, St. Stephan Cathedral is approximately 1km from the hotel. Breakfast is adequate; bread, slice cheese, ham, jam, butter, juice, coffee and tea. Nothing fancy... Just a functional reasonably priced hotel... We were given a triple bed room (couple with a child). The room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Heating was adequate. The hotel is located bang in the middle of the city within walking distance of several city landmarks... Hotel's entry was a little confusing, if you are not aware... More

We had a fantastic visit to Vienna, thetc accommodation here at Hotel Schottenpoint was absolutely ideal. It is in one of the oldest historical buildings in the neighborhood, but in great condition and so beautiful architecturally. Centrally located, right next to rhe tram and bus stop or just a couple of lively blocks walking distance from the sites and the... More

This hotel has a rather unprepossessing exterieur - it is on the ground floor of a large apartment building which faces a busy road and tram route. However, once inside, the hotel is quiet and comfortable, The room and bathroom were clean and there was a fridge for own food and drink, but there was no workspace and the free... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
