We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were small but comfortable, the front desk staff very friendly, free beverages 24 hours a day and free wifi. The location was very proximate to the Museum Quarter with great restaurants, and close to great shopping on Mariahilfer Str. One caveat is they use an odd spray in the rooms which is...

Brilliantly positioned in the museum quarter, it's quick access by foot or metro to the best areas of Vienna was a great bonus. Coming back from a hard day's sightseeing it was great to have fresh, good coffee available at all hours in the lobby. Beds were fine - ear plugs negated the noise of other guests banging about! Would...

This is a modern, clean, well presented hotel VERY centrally located, just around the corner from the Volkstheatre underground station. Friendly staff, good wifi access in lobby and rooms (we were on the 4th floor). Rooms were well kitted out and after a long day sightseeing the beds were just lovely. Easy walking distance to Maria Hilfenstrasse where there is...

Just spent a night there, and we were pretty satisfied with it. Nothing special, meets the basic expectations for a night stay: it is new (we had the confort room, which have been refurbished), and clean, + the staff is realy nice. I organized the reservation by phone, they were pretty flexible with the prices (said it it XX on...

We stayed for just one night, arriving late and getting up early to see the sights but would happily have stayed longer. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were great and the art museum and metro station a very short walk away. Very good value, even without breakfast included, which we didn't go for at...

The Museumquartier location can't be beat, just steps away from the metro, shopping, restaurants, and well, museums. In-room free wi fi is a major bonus, just make sure you ask for a separate password for everyone's laptop. Our room faced the atrium and courtyard, as it were, which apparently cut down on the noise level faced by the folks facing...

Good location for city centre, 5 min walk to Hofburg, 2 min walk to neares underground (U3 and U2) which bring you in 5 min to Opera and 7 min to CAT to airport. Also good location for Spittelberg and Mariahilferstrasse, both just round corner. Good sized rooms, very small bathrooms though. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is classified...

I spent nearly 2 hours looking through hotels/hostels/pensions for our trip to Vienna and chose Viennart mainly for the reviews on Tripadvisor. I cannot say we were disappointed in any sense, it was exactly as we expected. The location is the best part, right behind the Museum Quartier. The street is not idyllic and the hotel itself is a bit...

Here is a clean, neat, practical hotel with modern decoration at a very convenient location. No frills, no luxury, but you have all your needs addressed and the staff is kind and extremely willing to help you. Our room had all basic amenities and the bed was comfortable. We were also satisfied by the breakfast buffet, although the price was...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
