The lobby and the room we where in seemed new. The room was clean and comfortable. The best thing about the hotel was the value for the price and the location, in walking distance to the Mariahilferstrasse. I can highly recommend this hotel and will certainly stay here again on our next trip.

The hotel itself is near the Westbahnhof metro station a few stops (12-15 min) away from Stephansplatz (city center) so it's not that center. We booked for a fairly good price so for that amount I can say that the hotel is ok for a 4* category. The bed was comfortable but they have to buy new pillows, they were...

This hotel has very poor rooms and low quality air conditioners. We stayed there two days and did not enjoy at all. The location is ok and also tram and subway stations are very close, so it easy to get to the center.

Very good hotel for short trips (sightseeing) or for business trips. Very close to subway station. Nice room with very comfortable bed. Clean and modern bathroom. Nice and friendly staff. Good price to quality ratio.

We stayed here for 4 nights and while the room was comfortable, tea and coffee ingredients were not replaced, which left us without morning tea. Further our room had a horrible rusty shelf edge in the bathroom, which was unsightly. The main criticism is that the web site says that the hotel is close to the centre of Vienna, which...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
