Stay here in March for 2 nigts. The hotel is very clean. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. And there was a bathtube at the bathroom. Also it is great to have kettle at room. The hotel is near the metro station and Westbanhof. And there was Lidl nearby.

Generally when in Vienna I always try to stay in the very city-center but this time I've chosen without knowing about this hotel and had a really very good stay, as it is well connected with all public bus and metro lines.

We visited vienna at the end of December and we stayed at Mercure Raphael Hotel Wien for 4 nights! Everything was very nice! The hotel is at a quite location but not far from the train station (5min on foot) and from there 10 min to the city center. The room was minimal and cozy, the bathroom was quite big,...

This was my 1st visit to Vienna and stayed at Mercure Raphael hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is located 15 minutes away by car from Vienna main Railway station and is just 10 minutes away from the main city square by walk. It was very easy to walk to most of the attraction from the hotel such as St...

Excellent breakfast. There were wide selection of cold cuts, cheeses and juice etc. The hotel is clean and modern. Great location. Just 5 mins walk to the shopping street right in front of the West Train station and metro station.

The location was very accessible and the area is so calm (Walking distance to the train station Westbahnhof & Mariahilferstrasse and near the metro station). The room was very clean, bright, spacious and the bed very comfortable. Not to forget that the staff were very friendly and helpful.

As stated in other reviews, the hotel is very clean, the room very comfortable and the bathroom spacious enough. The only problem we had was the room temperature: very very hot in the bathroom, without the possibility to regulate the heaters (keeping the bath door closed and a room window open "fixed" the problem). Ps the breakfast was very expensive...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
