This hotel review is being broken down into categories because that is the fairest way to do it. Service: Absolutely brilliant. I cannot compliment the staff enough. When I arrived the lady behind the desk took the time to point out places of interest, let me know easiest ways to get around and what would be interesting to see and...

A triple room costs 149 euro a night. Certainly, Vienna is pricier than most cities, but you certainly don't get the feeling that it's worth every penny. The location is perfect though; if you find the short cut through the shopping center, you can walk to the U3 Neubaugasse Metro in 2 minutes. You're only 2 metro stops from Westbahnhof...

The location of this hotel is ideal. It is 5 minutes from Ring, Museum square and 2 minutes from metro station. Despite of this central location, Lindengasse is rather small and quite place, so you will not hear the sounds of big city. The hotel itself is very nice, interiors of 19th century style. Rooms are large, equiped with fans...

We stayed here with my husband in February 2012. It is very centrally located, just 5-minute walk away from Mariahilfer strasse and from there, you can either walk to historical centre or take U-bahn to city centre. The hotel room was large enough for two persons and it was clean. It was nicely decorated. Breakfast was very nice, especially for...

Stayed here in October 2011, the hotel is really nice. Location is perfect, all main sights within walking distance. Just 2 min walk to shopping street. Rooms are quite large and comfortable with separate bathroom and loo. Breakfast room is really small. Breakfast had a nice variety (cold cuts, cheeses, spreads, a variety of cereals, eggs, yoghurts, fruits, fruit juices...

in few words : the location of the hotel is perfect wich means very close(7-10 minutes walk) to historical centre of the city and very close(1 minute walk) to Maria Strasse where you can shop till you drop. The staff is amazing and is helping you whatever you need. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is very good...

A classically decorated large room overlooking a quiet street. TV, WI-FI, minibar, wc separate from the bath, walk-in closet. Nice breakfast but the tiny breakfast room is overcrowded, and one morning we had to wait a few minutes to be seated. There was only one electrical socket in the whole room - not enough for today's traveler who will have...

The front desk staff was courteous and helpful at all times. The breakfast is simple, but good quality. The location is just about perfect, just steps from a major shopping street and a couple of minutes from Vienna's main attractions by a convenient metro stop. You can also walk to the main attractions in 15-20 minutes and it's an enjoyable...

We found very much what we were expecting based on previous tripadvisor reviews. One of the biggest boons was the restaurant choice in the Spittelberg area, so close to the hotel. We found it could get very quiet for a city after the rush hour ended (maybe there are more tourists about in the summer or in more prosperous times)...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
