Visited for 4 nights, 2 couples in two front facing rooms with balconies. (It really was too cold to make much use of the balcony but nonetheless, it was nice to have a front facing room.) Even before I arrived at the hotel staff were telephoning me as I got off the plane to state that my taxi driver was... More

We visited Vienna in November to see the markets and chose to stay at Hotel Capricorno. It turned out to be a good choice. The hotel is located a 15minute walk from the airport CAT train, and close to a metro station (although we didn't use that). It is on the edge of the inner part of the city, with... More

We stayed at this hotel for our 4-day citytrip. The hotel is perfectly situated on the edge of the inner Vienna city (Alt stad). The Stephans Dom cathedral is at circa 500 meters from the hotel, as well as the fine shopping streets. The Vienna Opera house is about 1km from the hotel. Schweden Platz metro station as well as... Hotel Capricorno is brilliantly situated, right next to bus stops, metro station and a taxi rank. The hotel is small but it has everything you need for a weekend away. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are very welcoming and go above and beyond in terms of the service they deliver. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel... More

I have stayed in Hotel Capricorno more than 30 times over the last 13 years and always enjoyed the friendliness of the service minded staff, and the nice rooms, which became excellent after the recent refurbishment. The location of the hotel is perfect for my purposes, within walking distance to the city centre and with a U1/U4 station just outside... More

I had a cozy single room in the back corner of the hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly, always greeting me nicely. The breakfast included a specially prepared omelette in a very light, airy room. Plus there is an afternoon tea for free. The location is great, one metro stop from Stephanplatz and two... More

We stayed here for three days at the end of October. The hotel was clean and rooms are modern and comfortably furnished. The bathrooms are also modern and the shower worked very well. We had a balcony although it was not really warm enough to use - would be a nice addition in summer. Despite facing onto the road, we... More

I chose your hotel largely for its very convenient location, close to both the city centre and to the airport shuttle bus stop. It was excellent from both points of view, and the room, breakfast and service in general were all I wanted, no complaints at all.

Hotel Capricorno is a modern place, clean, with best location near two metro stations on U1 and U4, bus station, tram station, hop-on hop-off station (Schwedenplatz - 12 on red line) and a Danube cruise station (route A). The personal was very kind and helpful. The food was fresh and very tasty. The TV was set with many languages channels.... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

As cheerful and colorful as life itself, the Hotel Capricorno appeals to everyone who wishes to experience vibrant Vienna in the heart of the city. Its central location directly at Schwedenplatz makes it possible to reach everything quickly. You can walk to St. Stephan's Cathedral in just five minutes. The underground and trams, as well as the landing stage of the Twin City Liner are right outside the door. Cars can be parked securely in the garage.
