I have stayed at Graf Stadion every year now for the past 4 years. I don't even think to stay elsewhere. The hotel is centrally located- near public transportation, and an easy walk into the city center. Safe and clean area. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quite spacious. A good breakfast (variety of food too) is offered every...

The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Opera Theater and the Museeum district. The owner is very nice and helpful. The building is quite renewed but some parts are kept original (the lift is art nouveau decorated:amazing). Very clean and very simple. Breakfast is good too.

We are visiting Vienna very often (at least twice or three times a year). We always are trying to book our room in this hotel. It has a lot of advantages - close to the centre, very clean, good breakfast, comfortable rooms and nice and friendly staff. We really can recommend this hotel to other visitors of Vienna.

Staying at the Hotel Graf Stadion we believe to be successful. It's nice, clean and very family-run hotel. It has a great location close to downtown and the corresponding value for the money. We particularly liked the Elevator.

Nice little hotel near the Rathaus. Stayed in a clean single room, which was a bit too warm and did not have a thrashcan. Nice and simple breakfast, and several restaurants nearby. Will book here again, should I visit Wien.

The room was clean, and spacious. It was quiet, well located in the city center, just 5 minutes by feet far from the subway station. The employees are nice and willing to help you with information. I just thought the breakfast was poor.

Good location, clean, nice breakfast, excellent price... everything was correct, but my bedroom was a little bit noisy (I heard a mechanical sound, maybe an extract fan or similar, during the whole night).

Very good situation - almost in the center. Super public transport accessibility. Friendly staff. Delicious and sufficient breakfast. Clean, quiet room. After checking out, you might live your luggage in a closed room. Beautiful elevator.

A well located, neat and clean Hotel with basic facilities.Good breakfast served. Staff responsive to gusts' needs.Only negative I found was that there was no direct dialling from the room phone. Overall, value for money.

Opened window & then had city noise. Heat blasting from radiator next to window & bed. Tiny room. One side of bed was almost against window & had only a few inches at foot of bed. Old room. Asked for top sheet & was told no chambermaid at 8pm so I took the sheet off the duvet. Same receptionist tho...

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
