This small quiet hotel was a nice surprise. Located conveniently next to the Naschmarkt where dozens of small cafes, bars and kebab shops stay open late, it has a charming ambiance with a view of the side entrance of the old Theater an der Wein from the breakfast room. It's a little hard to find at first but well located...

Loved this place - excellent spacious rooms, great breakfasts included in the price and some wonderful decor and period furniture. The free concert on Sunday evening, with a cello and piano duet was an added bonus. Very close to the sites but just a little out so a bit quieter which is nice. Only complaint was dodgy wifi which sometimes...

The hotel is very well maintained, clean and close to city center. Breakfast is excellent, staff friendly and organized. What distinguishes this small hotel is its owner. Her daily presence and personal touch are impressive. We met Barbara in the area by the piano. She cares greatly about the guests satisfaction and goes out of her way to serve them...

We just returned home from a week-long trip to Vienna. This hotel turned out to be a perfect choice. It is in a fantastic location. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was the best part of the day.

Only criticism is the wifi was temperamental. Room was nice with interesting decor, staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety. The best thing was the location, very easy to walk or catch the underground to the main city centre.

We spent two nights here unexpectedly and found it to be in a great location! It is a fun, quirky hotel. The furnishings make you smile. Our room, 504, went a bit too far over the top though. It had a huge round bathtub- like a hot tub size- and no shower. So you would have to get on your...

Dear guest, thank you for your review. You stayed in our romantic room with our golden bathroom and the round bathtube. I am sorry that you would have prefered a shower; most of our rooms do have a shower . If you happen to come to Vienna again of course we could reserve a room for you which fits better...

We have just returned from a visit to Vienna with friends. Stayed at here for 5 nights and we were all happy with the room facilities (3 rooms). We would have preferred a walk-in shower to over the bath but that is a small gripe. Hotel was clean and comfortable throughout. Ample breakfast with a good choice of food and...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

Hotel Beethoven – Lovers of Vienna welcome The 4-star Hotel Beethoven lies ensconced in culture and cuisine on the “bohemian“ Naschmarkt, opposite the Papagenotor at Theater an der Wien, just a few minutes’ walk from the Opera, the Musikverein, the Museumsquartier, the most traditional Viennese coffeehouses and shopping streets. 4-star hotel situated on Vienna’s NaschmarktThe location of the 4-star Hotel Garni on the Naschmarkt lets lovers of Vienna dive right into the typical Viennese lifestyle. The market, with its dozens of little stalls and selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and specialities, is a colourful and lively snapshot of Vienna, which is even more varied on Saturdays, with the farmer’s and flea market. In addition to the restaurants and cafés around the Naschmarkt, a trendy restaurant and bar scene has developed in the market area. Coupled to cultureThe culturally committed Ludwig family, which owns the hotel, sponsors numerous Viennese cultural institutions, such as the Albertina, the Mumok and the Musikverein and inspires lovers of Vienna to special cultural delights: invitations to previews, exhibition openings, museum visits and preferential ticket orders at the Musikverein. ... more   less
