Nice hotel we stayed 3 nights in November for my wife's birthday good location, nice décor, decent sized room (Junior suite) good breakfast with plenty of choice, hot food was a bit luke warm, staff were excellent my only real gripe was when my request for flowers to be in the room when we arrived wasn't carried out, I told...

Dear guest, I am so sorry that we failed to organise the flowers upon your arrival! for your wife`s birthday I want to apologize - I will definitely try to find out why that happened and have a conversation with my front office! We will definitely come back to Hotel Beethoven. The service, room, and overall experience were fantastic. We've traveled all over Europe and their breakfast buffet was without equal. The location was perfect for us - a quiet area close to the Alt Stadt, the Museum Quartier, and the inimitable Cafe Sperl. During the Sunday we were there, there was a...

A reasonable location, down a slightly iffy looking side street, but not too far from the Altstadt - about a 10-15 minute walk - and about 50 meters away from the Naschmarkt. Our room is best described as slightly shabby and I dread to think what we'd have got with a standard room (we'd booked a deluxe). The wallpaper was...

Dear guest! I tried to find out which of our rooms you stayed in but obviously you did not contact our reception staff during your stay for another room! I am sorry that you did not like it! We do have traditional rooms with antique furniture but also already have renovated rooms in all categories which have new furniture. We...

We checked in and were given a room on 2nd floor and the others in our party were on 6th floor. Big difference in rooms as we realized 5th and 6th floors have been refitted and whilst nothing at all wrong with our room on 2nd floor, it felt very old. The hotel picked up on this and offered to...

The hotel is centrally located and very easy to find from Karlsplatz Ubahn station. Our room was spacious and quiet and reception were very kind and helpful. We stayed here for a long weekend in Vienna on the way to a conference and another night on our way home. It was everything we were looking for - comfortable, convenient for the museums with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The breakfasts were superb and set us up for the day with a good choice of restaurants within walking...

This December we spent 5 nights at the Hotel Beethoven, which we knew from earlier occasions and which we have learned to enjoy on our regular trips to Vienna. We agree to everything said in recent reviews about its central location - in a quiet corner - the friendliness of the staff and the excellent breakfast. It should also be...

My wife and I spent two nights at the hotel in a superior room, #102, near the elevator, overlooking a side street. After entering the room, we passed through a second door, which when closed, eliminated any noise from the hallway. There were two twins pushed together each with a duvet. Two hot water radiators were under the two windows...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

Hotel Beethoven – Lovers of Vienna welcome The 4-star Hotel Beethoven lies ensconced in culture and cuisine on the “bohemian“ Naschmarkt, opposite the Papagenotor at Theater an der Wien, just a few minutes’ walk from the Opera, the Musikverein, the Museumsquartier, the most traditional Viennese coffeehouses and shopping streets. 4-star hotel situated on Vienna’s NaschmarktThe location of the 4-star Hotel Garni on the Naschmarkt lets lovers of Vienna dive right into the typical Viennese lifestyle. The market, with its dozens of little stalls and selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and specialities, is a colourful and lively snapshot of Vienna, which is even more varied on Saturdays, with the farmer’s and flea market. In addition to the restaurants and cafés around the Naschmarkt, a trendy restaurant and bar scene has developed in the market area. Coupled to cultureThe culturally committed Ludwig family, which owns the hotel, sponsors numerous Viennese cultural institutions, such as the Albertina, the Mumok and the Musikverein and inspires lovers of Vienna to special cultural delights: invitations to previews, exhibition openings, museum visits and preferential ticket orders at the Musikverein. ... more   less
