We just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Beethoven. It was our first trip to Vienna, and Hotel Beethoven was the perfect place to stay. The hotel is really nice. Our room, while not large, was renovated, clean and very comfortable. The common areas...More
We had a great start here, the staffs were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, the location is only 15 minutes walk to many attractions, 5 minutes walk to subway or tram stations, many dining options to choose from in the area.
What an amazing hotel. We felt so sad to leave!
The rooms are a good size for Europe hotels. Yes the lift may be a little small for big suitcases but a couple of trips up and down will sort that.
The location is super...More
Very close to Secession, Cafe Sperl, Naschmarkt, and the Karlsplatz/Opera U-Bahn station, a major public transit hub in the city. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, very quiet, wonderful amenities. Elevator is small, but moves pretty quickly. Breakfast is perfect. Huge range of offerings, all fresh and...More

Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with
its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
