Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with tub where you can relax after a day of sightseeing or business. Full service hotel with very helpful staff. Smorgasbord breakfast included with lots of choices but the eggs were only boiled. Mine wasn't cooked. Other than that, very delicious. Close to the Metro, Hop on-and-off bus, and within walking distance of the center and...

The service of the hotel-staff is excellent. Friendly, eye for detail, respect for clients. The hotel is nicely situated towards the old city of Vienna but also in a relatively quiet area. Consider the superior-rooms: they are wunderfull. Good bed. Great breakfast!

An extremely stylish four star hotel with excellent service and a buffet breakfast with a large amount of choice. Tram 2 stops right outside so it's easy to get around the city. Wood panelling, newspapers and a piano in the reception area give it a certain style.

We booked the Hotel Stefanie because we wanted to soak up the architectural history of Vienna and be able to walk to everything - and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were beautiful, the service was amazing (nothing was too much trouble for the team on the front desk) the rooms were always cleaned and tidied each day like we'd just...

I chose to stay in this hotel because of its history and they had just renovated the facility. It is in a great location, easy walking to the opera and surrounding areas. It is charming, the outdoor patio area is delightful and the food is fabulous. I especially loved the soups. It is very clean, and the staff were courteous...

We stayed here on a city break and were very pleased with the location. The main road outside was slightly rundown but felt very safe and was a 5 minute walk from the Danube canal and the underground. The staff were very curteous, friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and spacious. Decor interesting, some wonderful displays of Habsburg memorabilia, silverware...

Great breakfast in a very classy and a pleasant hall. 5-10 minutes walk to Stephanplatz and the historic center of Vienna!

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
